Coventry City dramatically turned it around last season, by reaching the playoffs on the final day of the season against all odds. Manager Frank Lampard was appointed in late November as the club sat in 17th place and miraculously took them all the way up to fifth on 69 points. The Sky Blues won 20 games throughout last term and scored 64 goals along the way. However, their playoff journey was cut short in the semi-finals, as Sunderland scored a last-minute winner in the second leg to deny them a Wembley visit.
Hull City endured a turbulent 2024/25 Championship season, finishing 21st with just 49 points. The Tigers survived relegation after a 1-1 draw away to Portsmouth on the final day, sending Luton Town down to League One as a result. They only won 12 matches and scored just 44 goals under three separate managers in the second tier. However, Hull have now appointed a new head coach in Sergej Jakirovic, taking them into the new campaign on the back of some superb pre-season results.
Both sides have had their fair share of victories throughout the history of this fixture. However, this game is one that attracts a lot of draws.

(Odds are subject to change)
Haji Wright (Coventry) - Haji Wright is finally back from injury and could play a huge part in Coventry’s season once again. The American has scored 30 Championship goals across the last two seasons with the Sky Blues and has quickly become a fan favourite.
Abu Kamara (Hull) - Kamara clearly possesses a lot of talent, as proven by his short stint with Portsmouth. However, he hasn’t exactly set the world alight at Hull so far, scoring five goals and collecting three assists last season. But the majority of those figures came in the latter stages of last season, as he might just bring that form into the new campaign.
