Both winless after two fixtures, Porto and Al-Ahly will need a victory if they wish to have a chance of progressing from Group A at the FIFA Club World Cup.
Porto‘s most recent fixture was an embarrassing 2-1 loss to MLS side Inter Miami. Having taken the lead in the eighth minute through Aghehowa’s penalty, the Portuguese outfit conceded twice in the second half. Al-Ahly suffered a 2-0 loss to Brazilian side Palmeiras in their last match. An own goal from Abou Ali put the Egyptian side behind minutes after the second half kicked off before Lopez doubled the scoring in the 59th minute. Al-Ahly have had a disappointing Club World Cup campaign, failing to score in both fixtures so far. Al-Ahly currently sit bottom of Group A with zero points.
Samu Aghehowa will be one to watch for this fixture. The Porto forward has scored 26 goals in 44 appearances this season.
