FA Cup winners Crystal Palace face Wolves in the penultimate game week of the 2024/25 Premier League season. They will play each other at Selhurst Park on Tuesday 20th May at 20:00 BST.
After victory in the FA Cup, Eagles fans can look forward to European football next season. After a poor start to the campaign, sitting four points above safety at Christmas, they have climbed into a respectable 12th place, and gone on an amazing FA Cup run, defeating Manchester City 1-0 in the Wembley showpiece.
Wolves have been incredible since Victor Perreira took over from Gary O’Neill, with them confirming safety weeks ago, as they now look to push as high as 13th. They end the season facing two London clubs and will look to outplay them as they have been doing to many other clubs of late.
As the game approaches, here is everything you need to know about both sides ahead of kick-off.
Crystal Palace Predicted Lineup (3-4-2-1): Henderson; Guehi, Lacroix, Richards; Mitchell, Kamada, Hughes, Munoz; Eze, Sarr; Nketiah.
Cheick Doucoure and Chadi Riad should be the only two players missing from the Palace squad for the games through injury.
As mentioned already, Palace have been in good form recently, picking up two wins and drawing their other two. They defeated Tottenham away 2-0 and also beat Aston Villa 3-0 in the FA Cup semi final as well as winning the FA Cup final over Manchester City by 1-0. Their draws came against Arsenal and Nottingham Forest.
Eberechi Eze has been in impeccable form for the Eagles recently, notching five goals in his last four matches, he has been an integral part of Glasner’s team this season and could make another impact here.
Wolves Predicted Lineup (3-4-2-1): Sa; Gomes, Agbadou, Doherty; Nouri, Andre, Gomes, Semedo; Cunha, Munetsi; Larsen.
Hwang Hee-Chan is a doubt for the match while Sam Johnstone, Sasha Kalajdzic, Enso Gonzalez and Yerson Mosquera are all sidelined through injury.
Wolves had three of their six wins in a row come in their last five matches- victories over Tottenham, Leicester and Manchester United before losing their last two against Manchester City and Brighton without scoring a goal.
Perreira’s front two of Cunha and Strand Larsen bagged two goals each in those three wins so they will look to return to goal scoring form towards the end of the campaign.
Crystal Palace have dominated the last 10 meetings, winning seven to Wolves’ two so will look to continue that form coming into Tuesday’s game.
Recent Meetings:
The FA Cup victors will be full of confidence coming into this match. They have looked outstanding since the turn of the year and will look to grab maximum points not just here but in their final game too.
