We are headed to the Spanish second division where Castellon host Real Zaragoza on the final day of the 2024/25 season, at the Estadio Municipal Castalia on Friday evening. This game is due to kick-off at 19:30 BST however, the match will be unavailable to watch for UK viewers.
Castellon have done an excellent job at doing just enough in many matches this campaign, which will see them stay up in the second division for the first time since 2008/09 campaign. Losing just three times in the past nine games has seen them accumulate 10 points which sees them five points above the drop zone with one game left.
Real Zaragoza have been ever-present in the second tier of Spanish football since the 2013/14 season. Each season, they have either flirted with relegation or promotion, very rarely not having anything to play for towards the end of the season. This campaign sees no different- they sit just six points above the drop zone and will survive yet another year after winning three of their past four.
As the game approaches, here is everything you need to know about both sides ahead of kick-off.
Rams Park will host the final match for these sides for the 2024/25 season. The match will be on Friday evening, with a kick-off time of 18:00 BST. This match will, however, unfortunately be unavailable for live viewing for UK viewers.

Castellon Predicted Lineup (3-4-3): Crettaz; Vertrouwd, Gil, Escobar; Cipenga, Belt, Jojic, Calatrava; Mabil, Camara, Sanchez.
Castellon have won just once in their past five, a 4-3 win over Sporting Gijon. They also drew against Eldense while they suffered three defeats to Malaga, Mirandes, and Granada- all by a one-goal margin.
Suero could have a big impact off the bench once more for the hosts, while Cipenga could also have an impact on this game, with the DR Congo international scoring two in his last two outings.
Zaragoza Predicted Lineup (4-2-3-1): Poussin; Tasende, Jair, Vital, Luna; Arriaga, Serrano; Ares, Guti, Sans; Soberon.
Zaragoza come into Friday’s clash on good form, losing just once in their past five- to promotion candidates Real Oviedo. They have also drawn once, against Huesca before they defeated Racing de Ferrol 2-1, bottom of the league Cartagena, and a 1-0 win over Deportivo last time out.
During this time, they scored seven goals, conceding just five. Raul Guti could be one to watch at the moment, with midfielder finding the net in two of his last three matches.
These sides have only met five times in history, with two ending in draws, while Castellon have registered two wins, to Zaragoza’s one including the reverse fixture, this season.
