With just four games to go in the 2024/25 La Liga season, the race for the fifth Champions League position is coming down to the wire. Real Betis look to continue their hunt on Villarreal on Sunday evening as they host Osasuna.
Real Betis currently occupy sixth spot in La Liga and are one point off Villarreal in fifth and Bilbao are four points ahead in fourth. They have been having an excellent second half of the season, making their way to their very first European final and only losing once in the league since mid-February.
Osasuna have their own European spot to fight for. They are just outside Europe in ninth at the minute but are out on goal difference from a Conference League and two points off a Europa League spot. They had won three games in a row before losing to Villarreal last game, so a win here might be vital for them.
As the game approaches, here is everything you need to know about both sides ahead of kick-off.
Real Betis welcome Osasuna to the Benito Villamarin as the hosts look to strengthen their bid on a Champions League spot while Osasuna aim lower for the Conference League position. Here is how to watch Sunday’s evening fixture.

Real Betis Predicted Lineup (4-2-3-1): Adrian; Rodriguez, Nathan, Bartra, Ruibal; Carvalho, Altimira; Rodriguez, Lo Celso, Antony; Hernandez.
Diego Llorente, Marc Roca and Chimy Avila are all unavailable for this fixture.
Betis have their past three games in the league 3-1, 5-1 and 2-1 while defeating Fiorentina 2-1 and drawing 2-2 away, confirming their spot in the Conference League final where they play Chelsea after their last game.
Antony has found the back of the net in all of their last three games so could make another crucial contribution to help his loanee side make the Champions League. His form while on loan have Betis fans pushing the club to sign him permanently.
Osasuna Predicted Lineup (4-4-2): Herrera; Cruz, Catena, Boyomo, Areso; Oroz, Torro, Gomez, Garcia; Budimir, Zaragoza.
Jon Moncayola will be sidelined for Sunday’s clash while Raul Garcia is a doubt.
A draw with Leganes in early April kicked them into gear as Osasuna then won 2-1 against Girona, 3-2 versus Real Valladolid and then defeated Sevilla 1-0. A 4-2 defeat to Villarreal will not dampen spirits however, as they firmly remain at a chance of European football next season.
It will be difficult for the club to keep Ante Budimir at the conclusion of this season as he has scored 43% of the club's goals in the league this season and will need to score here.
Real Betis have had the edge in recent fixtures, winning the last three. Osasuna are not a rarity to win this fixture however, winning the two prior to that. All games were in La Liga unless stated otherwise.
