Match Details: Saturday 6th September | Adams Park | EFL League One | 15:00 GMT
We are approaching match week seven in EFL League One and amongst this weekend’s fixtures, Wycombe will face Mansfield on Saturday afternoon.
The hosts are still in search for their first win of the league season after picking up just two points from six games. Meanwhile Mansfield will be attempting to get back to winning ways after they fought back to a 1-1 draw against Lincoln last week.
Key Betting Tip: Both Teams to Score offers good value @ 1.72.
Wycombe Predicted XI: van Sas, Hagelskjær, Allen, Taylor, Harvey, Leahy, Abbott, Grimmer, Westergaard, Woodrow, Quitirna
Defender Niall Huggins is currently out with a groin injury and is unlikely to feature for Wycombe until late September.
Mansfield Predicted XI: Roberts, Blake-Tracy, Sweeney, Bowery, Knoyle, Lewis, McDonnell, Dickov, Maris, Moriah-Welsh, Evans
In Mansfield’s last game against Lincoln, midfielder Regan Hendry hobbled off with an injury 20 minutes after he was subbed on. Consequently, he may not be fully fit for Saturday’s game.
Wycombe have had a dismal opening to their 2025/25 season. The Chairboys have only picked up two points in League One, after drawing two against Doncaster and Reading, but losing the other four they played. This puts them 22nd in the table, after scoring just five goals so far. Their only wins have come in the EFL Cup, against both Leyton Orient and Bromley. However, their last league game ended 1-0 to Stevenage, following a poor performance from Mike Dodds’ men.
Mansfield have had a fairly positive start to their second season back in the third tier. The Stags currently occupy tenth place after six games, courtesy of their 10 points which were earned through three wins and one draw. They started the season off with two straight defeats against both Burton and Doncaster. But then three consecutive wins against Exeter, Blackpool and Leyton Orient ignited their campaign. Unfortunately though, that winning streak grinded to a halt last weekend, as they drew 1-1 to Lincoln City.
Last season was the first year that these two sides had met since 2017. In the two games played, Wycombe won both, which was also the common theme when both teams used to compete in League Two together.

(Odds are subject to change)
Luke Leahy (Wycombe) - The midfielder has now entered his third season with the club, after the bulk of Wycombe’s glamorous team of last season has all departed. Leahy amassed 35 goal contributions in his first two years with the Chairboys and has already started this season with an assist from holding midfield, becoming his side’s star player.
Jamie McDonnell (Mansfield) - The 21-year-old midfielder has joined Mansfield for the season on loan from Nottingham Forest and has already started superbly. McDonnell has found the net twice in League One, which both came in a 2-0 win against Blackpool two weeks ago.
