Key Betting Tip: Draw at 3.69 odds represents excellent value based on the tip provided by our team of in-house tipsters.
New England Predicted XI: Aljaž Ivačič; Tanner Beason, Mamadou Fofana, Brayan Ceballos; Brandon Bye, Alhassan Yusuf, Matt Polster, William Sands; Carles Gil; Luca Langoni, Leonardo Campana.
Montréal Predicted XI: Sebastian Breza; Luca Petrasso, Fernando Álvarez, Brandan Craig, Joel Waterman; Caden Clark, Victor Loturi; Fabian Herbers, Hennadiy Synchuk, Dante Sealy; Prince-Osei Owusu.
The Revolution’s Ignatius Ganago remains doubtful for Saturday, while Bye and Sands are expected to come into the side, replacing Peyton Miller and Ilay Feingold.
The visitors have a number of doubts, including Jalen Neal, Giacomo Vriari, as well as captain Samuel Piette, and Herbers who both could miss the match following injuries in their previous outing. In for the captain could be Clark, with Jonathan Sirois maybe getting replaced by Breza.
The Revs do find themselves in a poor position compared to that of the start of May. Since their victory over Toronto, they have won just once in their last 13 MLS matches. They currently sit in 22nd place in the standings, on 25 points having scored 30 times and conceded 32 goals.
As for Le CFM, they reside rock-bottom of the MLS standings. They have won just three games all season, ranked second worst in both scoring with just 20 goals, and conceding 45 times. They have won more recently than New England, being victorious twice in June, but have since gone five matches winless.
These sides have had many memorable encounters over the years, with New England edging the spoils historically, winning 18 times, to Montréal’s 13 wins since the first meeting in 2012. The last fixture happened to be New England’s last victory, a 3-0 away win at that. It was a dominant second half performance, with 17-year-old Miller finding the net and a Feingold double securing the win for the Revs.
Recent Head-to-Head Results:
In recent years, Montréal have struggled in this fixture, and when they concede to Revolution, they seem to collapse. A 3-0 home defeat will certainly not bolster any confidence left in the side who have suffered yet another disappointing campaign.
New England will be confident to end their long wait for a win here. They do seem to enjoy playing sides from north of the border, with both of the last two MLS victories coming against Toronto and Montréal. Their three recent wins in this fixture have been respective 3-0, 4-0, and 5-0 triumphs so history is definitely on their side.
New England Last 5 Matches:
As previously discussed, Revolution have really suffered in recent games. It is clear that the defence is lacking discipline and consistency as the attack has only failed to score once in recent games, but 11 goals conceded is not good enough for Caleb Porter’s side. The only time they did fail to score was their last point and clean sheet, with the Massachussettes-based side losing three of their last five games by a 2-1 scoreline.
Montréal Last 5 Matches:
Montréal have lost three of their last five games, drawing two. They were knocked out on aggregate of the Canadian Championship to Forge. Like Revolution, Montréal have also shipped 11 goals but have only scored five times.

Football Park’s Best Bet: Draw @ 3.69 - Our team of in-house betting tipsters have predicted a draw in this fixture. Recent head-to-head and league form suggest confidence in a draw.
Carles Gil (New England): The Revolution captain has been the shining light in their poor campaign. The Spaniard has scored twice and assisted twice, proving to be by far their most consistent performer. This season, the 32-year-old has scored eight goals and provided four assists, always playing a key role in attacking transitions, taking over 2 shots per game, while playing 3 key passes per match.
Hennadiy Synchuk (Montréal): It was difficult to choose a standout performer for the visitors, especially with George Campbell making a move away to England. The 19-year-old Ukrainian has played six games since his move from Metalist. While he is yet to play a key part in a goal, he has proved his worth in the creative field. With an average of 52 minutes per match, he gets stuck in by getting an average 38 ball touches, and completes 82% of his passes. He is nuisance for opposition defenders, winning fouls 2.5 times per game, and also helps out defensively, recovering the ball a further 3.5 times per game.
