Key Betting Tip: Brighton to Win offers good value @ 1.78.
Brighton Predicted XI: Verbuggen, De Cuyper, van Hecke, Dunk, Wieffer, Yalcouyé, Ayari, Mitoma, O’Riley, Minteh, Rutter
Brighton have a plethora of injuries ahead of Saturday’s match. Their list of absent players includes Adam Webster, Carlos Baleba, Diego Gomez, Jack Hinshelwood, Julio Enciso, Solly March and Tariq Lamptey.
Fulham Predicted XI: Leno, Castagne, Bassey, Andersen, Tete, Lukic, Berge, Iwobi, Cairney, Wilson, Jiménez
Fulham have a left-back crisis at the minute. Star-man Antone Robinson is currently out with an injury and stepping in for him was Ryan Sessegnon who also unfortunately picked up a knock in his last match.
Brighton just continue to show why they are good enough to compete amongst the Premier League greats. The club from East Sussex managed to finish in eighth position last season, missing out on UEFA Conference League football by just four points. Fabian Hürzeler’s men only lost nine games in the top flight last term, which was the same number as both Manchester City and Chelsea. However, since their campaign ended, the Seagulls have lost a key player in Joao Pedro, who has left for Chelsea. Furthermore, there are rumours of midfielder Carlos Baleba leaving for Manchester United. Despite this, Brighton have still managed to stay unbeaten throughout pre-season, beating the likes of Wolfsburg, Las Palmas and Stoke City.
Fulham are another team to have cemented their place in the Premier League following their 2022 promotion. Last season, the Cottagers ended up in 11th spot in the top tier, after earning 15 wins and 54 points. Marco Silva’s side also managed to get to the quarterfinals of the FA Cup, although Crystal Palace knocked them out in West London. This summer, Fulham have retained the core of their squad; however, unfortunately one of their star players Antone Robinson is set to miss the start of the season through an injury he picked up near the end of last season. Similarly to Brighton, the Whites have also enjoyed a fantastic pre-season, winning every game they have played. They picked up wins against Nottingham Forest, Al Ittihad, and Eintracht Frankfurt.
Past matches have shown that Fulham are the most frequent victors from this matchup. However, it was actually Brighton who came away with the most recent win in this tie, as they beat the Cottagers 2-1 back in March this year.

Kaoru Mitoma (Brighton) - The Japanese has had quite the impact at Brighton since his arrival in 2022, scoring 24 goals for the club and collecting 16 assists. Last season in the Premier League, the winger became the club’s joint top scorer after netting 10 goals. Now that Joao Pedro has gone, Brighton need Mitoma to step into their headline role.
Alex Iwobi (Fulham) - Iwobi has come out of his shell at Fulham. Bagging nine goals and grabbing six assists in the top flight last term, the Nigerian has labelled himself as Fulham’s star playmaker and he could play another huge role in the club’s season this time round.
