Key Betting Tip: Both teams to score offers good value @ 1.90.
Spain (W) Predicted XI: Nanclares, Ouahabi, Mendez, Paredes, Fernandez, Putellas, Guijarro, Bonmati, Caldentey, Paralluelo, del Catillo
Spain have functioned through their trusty 4-3-3 formation throughout the tournament so far, utilising their fantastic midfield to the maximum.
Switzerland (W) Predicted XI: Peng, Riesen, Maritz, Stierli, Calligaris, Beney, Vallotto, Wälti, Reuteler, Schertenleib, Xhemaili
Switzerland have operated in a 5-3-2 formation throughout the Euros so far, in attempt to shut out as many goals as possible.
Spain have made it to the quarterfinals with flying colours, demonstrating just how desperate they are to add a Euros title to their World Cup win two years ago. The Spaniards won every match throughout their three group stage matches, scoring 14 goals in the process. As the tournaments top scorers and best performers so far, they are certainly the favourites to go on and win the competition.
Switzerland scraped through the group stages by the skin of their teeth. They got off to the worst start possible in Euro 2025, as they faced defeat in their first match against Norway. Fortunately for them, Pia Sundhage’s outfit managed to pick up a win against Iceland and a draw against Finland in their remaining two matches, to secure knockout football via goal difference.
As expected, Spain have been truly dominant in this matchup throughout previous events. In the last four times these two sides have clashed, Spain have won every single game and scored 19 goals amidst their success.
Recent Head-to-Head Results:
Spain’s world dominance in recent years cannot be ignored heading into this fixture. Especially when it is combined with their emphatic record against Switzerland. The Swiss will certainly have their work cut out for them in this quarterfinal.
With this in mind, a 4-1 win to Spain looks to be a reasonable prediction for this match.
Football Park’s Best Bet: Both Teams to Score @ 1.90 (Highbet).
(Odds are subject to change)
Alexia Putellas (Spain) - A very familiar name amongst the sport and she just continues to provide for her home nation. Putellas has the most goal contributions out of any player in Euro 2025 so far, with three goals and four assists in the three games she has played so far. She also managed to pick up two of those assists in Spain’s last match against Italy.
Géraldine Reuteler (Switzerland) - Whilst she doesn’t quite have the same calibre of statistics as Putellas to flaunt, Reuteler has been phenomenal throughout the Euros in her own respect. The 26-year-old has picked up one goal in the tournament so far, as well as an assist in her last match against Finland.
