Who Is Every Premier League Clubs Youngest Player?

Every Premier League Club's Youngest Player In The Squad

There are very few things more humbling than seeing just how young some of football's stars actually are and how much they have achieved at such young ages.

To top it off it seems every few weeks in the Premier League a new academy debutant makes a name for themselves by making a record youngest appearance or dropping a performance you would expect of someone years their elder.

It's exactly because of this that I've decided to compile a list of every Premier League club's youngest player to see just how young footballers actually get at the elite level.

(All inclusions are the youngest players in their respective Premier League Squad listings, they have not all necessarily made an appearance for the first team yet but are a part of the 25 man squads and so are eligible to this season.)

Arsenal

Youngest Player In Squad: Max Dowman - Age 16

Perhaps the most well-known name on this list is that of Arsenal wonderkid Max Dowman.

The youngster has made his debut for the first team already and is the current record holder for the youngest player to feature in the Premier League.

He's already come close to becoming the youngest goal scorer in Premier League history, but with a few more appearances when he's recovered from his injury, there's a solid chance he might add that to his record-breaking feats.

Aston Villa

Youngest Player In Squad: Brian Madjo - Age 17

The young forward has only just turned 17, and yet he has already got himself a move worth £10m.

Arriving from FC Metz a few weeks ago, Madjo is a very highly rated prospect in Europe and now takes his place as the youngest player in Aston Villa's squad.

Bournemouth

Youngest Player In Squad: Malcom Dacosta - Age 17

Young Ecuadorian international Malcom Dacosta is yet to make his debut in the Premier League but has been highly tipped to do so in Bournemouth fan circles.

Playing as a midfielder, he is highly rated and will likely establish himself as a first-team mainstay if the hype around him is anything to go by.

Brentford

Youngest Player In Squad: Kaye Furo - Age 18

Another January arrival in this list is young Belgian forward Furo who arrived at Brentford just a few weeks ago.

The East London side signed Furo from Club Brugge for a reported 7 figure fee and has already made senior appearances in the Champions League for his former side.

Brighton and Hove Albion

Youngest Player In Squad: Charalampos Kostoulas - Age 18

Greek international Kostoulas arrived on the south coast in last summer's window and is already one of Brighton's top attacking talents and a frequent feature of the first team.

I mean, you would hope so, seeing as he signed for a reported £30m fee at just 18 years old from Greek giants Olympiakos.

This was simply a testament to his ability, however, and with a stunning late equaliser against Bournemouth just a few days ago, it's clear to see the quality he possesses.

Burnley

Youngest Player In Squad: Max Weiss - Age 21

Signing as Burnley's first addition to the squad following their return to the Premier League last summer, Max Weiss arrived for a reported £4.3m fee.

Arriving from Bundesliga. 2 side Karlsruher, Weiss had already featured internationally for the German U20 side.

Chelsea

Youngest Player In Squad: Reggie Walsh - Age 17

Back to academy talents, Chelsea's Reggie Walsh has already established himself as one of the premier talents in the whole country.

Former boss Maresca was quoted as stating he believes Walsh is special, and this faith was shown when he made the young attacking midfielder the second youngest Englishman to have ever played in the Champions League.

Crystal Palace

Youngest Player In Squad: Joel Drakes-Thomas - Age 16

Drakes-Thomas is justifying the hype behind him already despite the fact he is only 16 years old.

Earlier this season he became the 4th youngest player to play for the first team in Crystal Palace's history and has since featured as a starter in the club's Europa Conference League tour.

Everton

Youngest Player In Squad: Adam Aznou - Age 19

Everton signed Moroccan international left-back Adam Aznou for a reported £8m fee last summer but since then hasn't really had much of a look-in with the starting 11.

Despite this, at just 19, Aznou has already featured in the Champions League for his previous club, Bayern Munich, and has been tipped as one of the big up-and-coming Moroccan stars, provided he gets the right game time and development plans.

Fulham

Youngest Player In Squad: Jonah Kusi-Asare - Age 18

Swedish forward Kusi-Asare is currently in the Fulham squad as their youngest player and is on loan for the season from German giants Bayern Munich.

He has already managed to tot up 8 appearances for the South London club and, despite not yet scoring, has looked a threat and shown the league why he arrived as such a hot prospect.

Leeds United

Youngest Player In Squad: Charlie Crew - Age 19

After a frustrating loan spell at League Two side Doncaster Rovers, Charlie Crew returned to parent club Leeds United at the start of the January window.

Crew has already made 2 appearances at the international level for his native Wales and may well find himself in Farke's plans as the club continue to battle for Premier League survival.

Liverpool

Youngest Player In Squad: Rio Ngumoah - Age 17

Another one of the arguably best-known and biggest names in this list is Liverpool's Rio Ngumoah.

After leaving Chelsea's academy, a battle between many of Europe's top clubs ensued, which saw the young winger find himself at Premier League Champions Liverpool.

Despite not being at the club that long, Ngumoah has already proven himself to be one of the biggest talents in the country; he has already become Liverpool's youngest ever Champions League player and scored a 100th-minute winner to beat Newcastle in his senior debut.

Manchester City

Youngest Player In Squad: Ryan McAidoo - Age 17

McAdoo is yet another one of those in the conversation for biggest talents in the country, and many have preemptively tipped him as a reverse Cole Palmer situation.

McAdoo left Chelsea's academy to join Manchester City in the summer of 2024, and since then has grown from strength to strength. To show his ability, not only has he been dominant in the U21s, but he also scored on his senior debut as part of City's 10-1 demolition of Exeter City.

Manchester United

Youngest Player In Squad: Diego Leon - Age 18

Paraguayan starlet Diego Leon arrived at Manchester United this summer following agreeing to a deal the January before.

United were not the only ones interested, as both Man City and Arsenal were reportedly circling the full-back; when clubs like that are battling it out for your signature at just 17 years old, you know you have to be doing something right.

Newcastle

Youngest Player In Squad: Sean Neave - Age 18

Despite not yet making a first-team appearance, it seems a sure thing that Neave will do so sooner rather than later.

He is a hugely rated prospect at Newcastle, and after being named in the first-team squad 20 times already, it's a shock he hasn't yet made at least one appearance.

Still, he was able to get himself a Carabao Cup winner's medal despite not even playing, so I guess he can't complain too much.

Nottingham Forest

Youngest Player In Squad: Jimmy Sinclair - Age 19

Sinclair is one of the up-and-coming academy talents coming through at Nottingham Forest at the moment; currently, he plays as a right midfielder/winger.

He has also managed to achieve what he described as a 'dream come true' with a substitute appearance for the senior side in a Europa League game against Malmo.

Sunderland

Youngest Player In Squad: Chris Rigg - Age 18

At just 18 years of age, Chris Rigg has already made 74 senior appearances for Sunderland and has managed to achieve being the youngest outfield debutant and goal scorer in the club's history.

Perhaps his best moment in a Sunderland shirt yet, though, was seeing the side regain promotion back into the Premier League at the end of the 2024/25 season.

Tottenham Hotspur

Youngest Player In Squad: Jun'ai Byfield - Age 17

Jun'ai Byfield has very quickly established himself as one of Tottenham's top prospects, coming through the academy as a centre-back.

Just a few days ago he was able to make history as Tottenham's youngest ever Champions League player following a substitute appearance against Borussia Dortmund.

West Ham United

Youngest Player In Squad: Ezra Mayers - Age 19

West Ham may be having a very rough season this year; however, one of the points of optimism for the club is the rise and slow integration of academy starlet Ezra Mayers.

In December Mayer was able to achieve one of his lifelong dreams and make a senior appearance for the Hammers and has been frequently in and around the first-team squad since.

Wolverhampton Wanderers

Youngest Player In Squad: Mateus Mane - Age 18

Speaking of clubs who are having rough seasons, none are having a rougher season than Midlands club Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Despite the awful campaign, there is one major area of optimism for the side, and that is surprise new talisman Mateus Mane.

One of the league's hottest prospects, Mane has been a leader for Wolves this season at just 18 and is one of their best performers with 4 goals in his last 5 games for the side, one of the many reasons clubs are rumoured to be swarming for his signature ahead of the summer window.
