Aston Villa have expressed late interest in Newcastle United’s Danish forward Will Osula. The 22-year-old has only recently broken into the first team, but the arrival of Nick Woltemade — and the possible addition of Yoane Wissa from Brentford — could see him slip back down the pecking order.

Osula only joined Newcastle in August last year, but he could already be on his way out as new reinforcements appear set to arrive at St James’ Park.
Osula’s time at St James’ Park could be short-lived if Aston Villa and Newcastle reach an agreement for the forward. Since joining from Sheffield United last August for around £11m, Osula has made 22 appearances, scoring three goals.

His most recent goal came in the thrilling 3-2 defeat to Liverpool, which may have put him on the radar of other Premier League clubs. With Newcastle set to lose Aleksander Isak to Liverpool, selling Osula could help generate additional funds.
Whether the Magpies are willing to part with another forward remains uncertain, but the right offer from Aston Villa could pave the way for his departure and allow Newcastle to strengthen other areas of the squad.
