Can Sunderland Keep This Run Going? | Gab Sutton Predictions
EFL expert Gab Sutton is back working with Football Park, and once again he’s given us his best predictions for this weekend’s EFL fixtures and some FA Cup action as well.
Who’s he picked for sure, and who is he thinking about with outside odds?
Whether you’re building a naughty ACCA for the weekend, or just interested to see what a man who knows the EFL like the back of his hand is thinking, we’ve got his tips laid out here.
Sunderland to beat Queens Park Rangers – 109/100
Sunderland have won their last three games on the bounce on top of being unbeaten in their last five meetings with QPR.
Norwich to beat Cardiff City 8/5
Norwich are really hitting stride, and the Canaries are taking to life well under “Hoff-Ball”, Cardiff will be no match for them, ending their streak of three successive draws.
Leeds United to beat Plymouth Argyle - 19/100
Wayne Rooney’s Plymouth Argyle have been very hit and miss so far this season, picking up only three wins so far. Leeds might have had some issues early on in the season but they seem to have been fixed, ensuring they should beat Plymouth.
Combining all three selections from the Championship would earn you great 5/1 odds, meaning a £10 stake would return a huge £54.66 should it land.
Oxford United to beat Swansea City – 46/25
Oxford seem to be surprising a lot of people this year as they aren’t struggling in the Championship like a lot thought. Ignoring their loss against Sunderland, Oxford are unbeaten in four games and they got get that streak rolling again with a win over Swansea.
Bristol Rovers to beat Weston-Super Mare – 2/5
Weston-Super Mare might be top of the National League South, but that is a whole four flights of football below Bristol Rovers. We can’t see a giant killing in this game unfortunately.
Burton Albion to beat Scarborough United – 29/50
Similar to Bristol, Burton are facing a team in sixth tier of English football and we don’t see them being beaten despite their poor form at the moment.
Wycombe Wanderers to beat York City – 17/50
Wycombe Wanderers are flying in League One under Matt Bloomfield and Gab thinks that they’ll continue with their current momentum into the FA Cup to beat York City.
Combining all three selections from League One would earn you decent 2/1 odds, meaning a £10 stake would return £29.64 should it land.
Southend United to beat Charlton Athletic – 5/2
Southend have quietly gone their last four games unbeaten and with right back Gus Scott-Morriss is terrific scoring form with nine goals, they could cause an upset in this match.
