With the international break pausing the top two divisions in England, our attention turns to the cup made exclusively for non-league sides.
It was the second round of the competition, and 103 goals were scored across all the games, plus nine penalty shootouts.
Here's reports from the main matches of the day, plus the scores from the other ties.
Aidan Rutledge's fourth goal of the season in the ninth minute gave the Darlington fans who made the two-hour travel the start they had been dreaming of.
They held this lead until shortly after half-time, as Ruben Grewal levelled the scoring.
Defender Ajay Weston popped up with a rare goal twenty minutes later, but it was swiftly cancelled out through 21-year-old Max Howells in the 79th minute.
Nine minutes into stoppage time, a corner for the Mancunians played out to the edge of the box was hit first time, with a slight deflection taking it beyond a helpless 'keeper to dump Darlington out.
FT: FC United of Manchester 3-2 Darlington
A Milan Lalkovic double wasn't enough to see Chorley through to the third round of the FA Trophy, as two goals with 18 minutes to play sent the visitors through in a National League North affair.
The first of Lalkovic's strikes was a screamer from 35 yards, the second far more simple with a rebound from close range.
A Chorley own-goal sandwiched in between Lalkovic's goals meant Worksop had hope with 20 minutes left.
Luke Waterfall's 72nd minute equaliser set up a nervy finish, which was decided a couple of minutes from time by Lewis Whitham's winner.
FT: Chorley 2-3 Worksop
Radcliffe FC of the National League North were taken to penalties by Bradford (Park Avenue) FC of the eighth tier, although the favourites did squeak through.
Michael Afuye and K'Marni Miller got the goals either side of the interval for Radcliffe, whilst Marcus Carver notched one of two equalisers for Bradford.
Jak McCourt and Connor Brown failed to convert from the spot for the visitors, which meant that Radcliffe progressed and Richard Smith was reprieved for his miss for the hosts.
FT: Radcliffe 2-2 Bradford (Park Avenue) FC (7-6 pens)
The South Tyneside club took their local rivals, from Gateshead, to the cleaners despite initially falling behind to a 19th minute penalty.
The response was swift and clinical, with braces from Lennon Wheeldon and Paul Blackett putting South Shields 4-1 up at the break.
Will Jenkins made it five on the hour mark and Cedwyn Scott added more punishment in stoppage time, although Josh Donaldson did get a consolation goal in between for the Northern Premier League Division One East visitors.
FT: South Shields 6-2 Dunston FC
King's Lynn were looking comfortable for a third round spot at half-time, having gone 2-0 up thanks to Ross Crane and Gold Omotayo's penalty.
However, Harrow, of the Isthmian Leagues, were determined to bounce back and did so through Dernell Wynter, whose double in the 64th and 87th minute put him on four strikes in this competition.
That forced a penalty shootout, which saw 50% of the kicks missed.
Ultimately, Adam Marriott, Ross Crane and Charlie Wilson's failure to convert meant that Harrow Borough knocked out a National League North scalp.
FT: King's Lynn 2-2 Harrow Borough (2-3 pens)
Marcel Lewis' 24th minute strike for Sudbury wasn't anything more than a positive note on a bad afternoon, as the away side came back with five goals unanswered.
Sam Osborne scored a hat-trick after Andrew Williams equalised nine minutes before the break, and Eno Nto bagged the fifth in stoppage time.
In the end, the quality from National League North Hereford was too much for Southern League Premier Division Central Sudbury to cope with.
FT: Sudbury 1-5 Hereford
National League South heavyweights Torquay and Maidstone United were pitted together down in Devon, with The Stones progressing.
A first-half brace from Dajon Golding, who now has six goals this season for his new club.
Despite being six places higher in the table, The Gulls couldn't muster any fight in the second half, and were knocked out of the FA Trophy without a whimper.
FT: Torquay 0-2 Maidstone United
Salisbury's disappointing season took another poor turn, as they lost away at Plymouth Parkway despite a late fightback.
Will Sullivan and James Watts-Barciela had the hosts two goals up within 27 minutes, although Noah Coppin responded four minutes later with a penalty.
Callum Hall scored in the 65th minute and Rio Garside added more misery three minutes from time.
An own-goal and another Coppin strike in quick succession heading into stoppage time meant it was all hands on deck for Plymouth, although they eventually saw the win out and progress.
FT: Plymouth Parkway 4-3 Salisbury
Dorking Wanderers narrowly beat Eastbourne Borough, in a clash between two teams at opposite ends of the National League South table.
Kai Corbett gave Eastbourne an unlikely lead six minutes into the contest, although the sides were soon dragged level 10 minutes later by Jimmy Muitt.
In first half added time, Dennon Lewis put the hosts in front at the break and Josh Taylor's goal shortly after the restart looked to have done enough to send them through.
In the end it proved to be too much for Eastbourne to recover from, despite Victor Akinwale's 78th minute consolation.
FT: Dorking Wanderers 3-2 Eastbourne Borough
Bath City managed to find a way past Bracknell Town, despite the Southern League Premier South underdogs more than matching their National League South opponents.
After a first half in which the ball spent as much time up in the air as it did on the surface, the first twist came on the hour mark when Bath's goalkeeper wiped out a Bracknell forward in the penalty area.
Seb Bowerman saw his spot kick saved, although the rebound bounced kindly back for him to slot home and give the visitors the advantage.
Bath tried to find a response but looked bereft of quality, and their eventual equaliser in the first minute of stoppage time was a scrappy one, bundling the ball over the line.
Max Herbert was the only player who missed in the shootout, meaning the Romans progressed 5-3 on penalties.
