Edinburgh City 1-4 Stirling Albion
See (42’); McLean (71’, 77’, 90+2), Cunningham (81’)
It was a chilly one at Meadowbank, with all eyes on Edinburgh City and Stirling Albion. In the end, Stirling Albion picked up their 3rd league win a row, now just two points off playoffs with a game in hand.
It was the Binos who started brightest, with the former Stirling keeper Mark Weir called into action on a number of occasions when Adam Brown and Russell McLean had chances to open the scoring. Despite the rapid start, it was a first half of few chances until just before the break. The former Love Island contestant Ousman See finished neatly to give the Citizens the lead, shushing the fans as he celebrated.

Stirling grew more into the game in the second half and missed various big opportunities from close range to level the score. Then, the Russell McLean show started. In the 71st minute, he headed into the back of the net to drag the Binos level. It was only six minutes before the 6’5 striker was there again, grabbing his 17th goal of the season in all competitions.
Substitute Ross Cunningham got in on the action just four minutes after that, with his pinpoint curling shot finding the back of the net to double the lead. Somehow, the craziness didn’t stop there, when in the 86th minute the referee gave a fan a red card for abuse. Although it was a light-hearted joke, it was a rare occurrence that caught the eyes of many, going viral across social media.
He's sent off a fan?! 🤯

Forfar Athletic 2-2 Stranraer
Rennie (32’), Sutherland (90+1); Ecrepont (21’), Lang (57’)
Just a point separated The Loons and The Trotters, and with both eyeing a playoff spot come the end of the season, a win for either side would have been massive. Alas, it ended 2-2 and Stranraer will definitely feel that they should have grabbed all three points.
Forfar started the brighter side, with Jake Sutherland’s header coming off the post early on. Hamilton loanee Josh Lane did well to keep it level, with the 19-year-old called into action on a number of occasions early on.
The game flipped on its head in the 21st minute, with Finn Ecrepont fired a thunderbolt right into the top corner, one that any player that would be proud of. Forfar responded quickly through Martin Rennie. Following a free kick into the box that was headed back across goal, Rennie headed into the net to equalise.
Right before the hour mark, Dean Cleland went through on goal, Marc McCallum saved, but it well to the feet of Deryn Lang, who tapped home to put Stranraer back in front. Lewis Reid could have doubled Stranraer’s lead when his header came off the post, and they eventually were made to pay for their wastefulness.
Right at the death, Scott Bright send a ball into the path of Jake Sutherland, who made no mistake this time and buried his chance to snatch a point for Forfar. Stranraer commentators were left in shock and described it as the “biggest get out of jail free card of all time”.
