Football Match Preview: West Brom vs Leeds United - Analysis & Insights
West Brom welcome Leeds United to the Hawthorns in a fixture which could be pivotal in deciding both teams' fates come the end of the season, with the two sides both sides narrowly missing out on promotion last season.
West Brom come in off the back of an opening day win with all the credit going to Baggies striker Josh Maja, who took the match ball home after scoring past QPR three times. However, West Brom did lose in midweek as Fleetwood came away with a 2-1 win to progress to the second round of the Carabao Cup.
Leeds nearly fell apart again as in their opening match after seeminly dominating the early stages a one goal lead suddenly turned into a 2-1 lead for Championship newcomers Portsmouth. In the end a Brendan Aaronson late equaliser was needed with the final score being 3-3.
