Gab Sutton's EFL Weekend Betting Predictions

13/09/24 17:27

EFL expert Gab Sutton has once again linked up with us here at Football Park, and this time he’s given us his best predictions for game week 6 in the EFL.

Who’s he picked for sure, and who has selected with outside odds?

Whether you’re building a naughty ACCA for the weekend, or just interested to see what a man who knows the EFL like the back of his hand is thinking, we’ve got his tips laid out here.

Championship Predictions

Leeds United to win over Burnley - 7/10

In a clash of two title favourites, Gab’s picked Leeds United to come out on top here. It’s pretty self explanatory given the limited options Scott Parker has at his disposal.

Middlesbrough to win over Preston North End - 4/9

Carrick’s Boro side finally look like they could be setting themselves up for a promotion push, after a few years of building. They should breeze past PNE here.

Sunderland to beat Plymouth Argyle - 77/100

Sunderland have been off to a corker this campaign, despite their youthful side. Rooney’s underwhelming Plymouth team will be an easy turnover.

Championship ACCA?

Combining all three selections from the Championship would earn you healthy 3/1 odds, meaning a £10 stake would return a huge £40 should it land.

League One Predictions

Stockport County to beat Crawley Town - 4/6

Scott Lindsey’s tricky reds have been the surprise package so far this campaign, but their promotion partners last year will have no struggles at the Broadfield.

Reading vs Leyton Orient - 77/100

Reading have really turned it on this year, and their fabled academy system continues to produce quality players for their disposal. They’ll dispatch Leyton Orient with ease.

Rotherham to win over Burton Albion - 1/2

Burton haven’t won in their last three league matches, and the Brewers will struggle against a strong Rotherham squad.

League One ACCA

Combining all three selections from League One would earn you healthy 3/1 odds, meaning a £10 stake would return a huge £40 should it land.

League Two Predictions

Notts County to win over Bromley - 7/5

Bromley have adapted well to life in the football league, but Notts’ current form suggests it’ll be a walk in the park for them.

Salford City to beat Cheltenham Town - 87/100

Despite Cheltenham’s upturn in form recently, Gab’s confident the quality of Salford will be too much for them. I trust him.

Chesterfield to win over Port Vale - 17/10

It’ll be a tight one, for sure. Overall, I’d say Chesterfield just look to be a bit more exciting so far this season, and they’ll take home three points.

League Two ACCA

Combining all three selections from League Two would earn you huge 12/1 odds, meaning a £10 stake would return a huge £130 should it land.

Gab Sutton's Outside Shouts

Huddersfield Town to win over Bolton Wanderers - 2/1

Huddersfield have been in poor form yes, but they certainly have quality in their squad. You can also get this with a draw no bet for a nice 13/10.

Newport County to beat Swindon Town - 3/1

Despite a downturn in form recently, Gab’s picked up how overpriced Newport are to beat Swindon. Both sides haven’t been great in recent weeks, but Newport looked great at the beginning of the season.
