Gündogan Commits to Future at Barcelona

08/06/24 16:33

Ilkay Gündogan, now 33 years old, has confirmed that he will stay at Barcelona this summer after finishing his first season in Spain following a move from Manchester City.

His wish is that he stays at the club and plays until he completes the remainder of his contract which is scheduled to end in the June of 2025.

Marca have been the ones to break this information. At Football Park, we rate them a tier two in reliability so make sure to be on the lookout for this to come into effect soon.

With the world renowned youth academy La Masia producing some of the world’s greatest players, the Catalan club has many players that are able to step up and perform for them.

Current club players and graduates Pedri and Gavi will be key members of the Barcelona team and depending on a move away, Frenkie De Jong should be the third player in the midfield of their 4-3-3 formation.

Unfortunately, Gündogan is not getting any younger and Barcelona continuing to produce exciting young talent like Fermin Lopez, Marc Casado, Aleix Garrido and many more, should committing himself to the club be his number one priority?
