The story of Bradley Lowery touched football fans across the world back in 2017.
The Sunderland fan had been diagnosed with neuroblastoma when he was just 18 months old, and his battle against the illness was subject to worldwide attention and overwhelming support, with Lowery becoming a club mascot, scoring a penalty past Asmir Begovic and striking a close friendship with Sunderland legend Jermain Defoe.
Sadly, Lowery passed away from his illness aged just six years old in the summer of 2017, but his legacy lived on through the Bradley Lowery Foundation, formed by his parents after his passing. In the months preceding his death, well-wishers raised over £1.3m for Lowery to get treatment for his condition in New York City that was unavailable in the UK, providing the funds and foundation of a charity that has provided crucial work for families struggling to gain funding for sick children, as well as raising vital awareness of neuroblastoma.
Sunderland themselves have been strong supporters of the foundation, and have now provided them with a touching gesture - a box at The Stadium of Light that will allow sick and underprivileged children the chance to attend matches free of charge.
In short, this is a brilliant gesture from The Black Cats.
In light of their continual support for the good work provided by the Bradley Lowery Foundation, the club have donated a private box to the foundation that will be exclusively available for sick and underprivileged children to attend the club's matches free of charge.

This is not the first time that the foundation have been allowed to use the box at The Stadium of Light, with the club allocating it to the foundation in prior seasons as well.
The good-will gesture is a fantastic initiative by the club that will allow them to continually support the charity and the fantastic work they do for sick children in the memory of their little super-fan.
