Sometimes in football, things can take an unfortunate turn both on and off the pitch. For non-league side Alvechurch FC, that was certainly the case last night in the wake of their late 2-1 Birmingham Senior Cup exit away to Tamworth FC.
After they exited their defeat at The Lamb, the home of Tamworth, they discovered that they had unfortunately had their minibus stolen from the club's grounds, with The Church taking to social media in the hopes to uncover information about their stolen property.
Disappointing end to last nights game.

Alvechurch had been lamenting an unfortunate defeat at the hands of the hosts when the incident occured. Manny Ilesanmi had the visitors ahead by one at the break, but the visitors came undone following an equaliser 15 minutes from time by Teo Kurtaran. Things went from bad to worse as the game encroached it's final stages, with Walsall loanee Ronan Maher netting the winner in the closing stages of the game to rob Alvechurch of their place in the next round of the tournament.
However, this wasn't the only robbery that Alvechurch would endure on the evening, with the club unfortunately discovering that a club vehicle - a minibus - had been stolen from The Lamb's car park.
The visitors of last night have appealed for anyone with information as to the whereabouts of their stolen minibus to come forward to the club to help out.
It is unclear at this time whether or not the Ford Transit minibus was used as a supporters travel arrangement for the away portion of the 220 fans in attendance at the ground or as a player transport (or both), but Alvechurch have branded the incident as "disappointing end to last night's game".
It appears this would not be the very first time that such an incident has occurred at The Lamb, as one supporter pointed out in the reply section to Alvechurch's call for help;
Last time we played there, vehicles were stolen!

Another commenter was critical of Tamworth themselves, brandishing the club as a "joke of a place";

It would appear that this is not the first incident of robbery that has taken place on Tamworth FC's grounds. Birmingham Live reported back in 2024 that around £1000 worth of tools had been stolen from the back of a van parked at The Lamb.
Furthermore, Tamworth themselves posted a call for help after The Lamb itself had been broken into just two months ago, during which items such as 25 laptops used for the education of the Tamworth Academy Scholarship Programme had been lifted, as well as a number of concessions and charity boxes.
