There has been uncertainty surrounding Los Blancos in recent weeks but any doubts have been cleared up by the brilliance of Kylian Mbappe on show again and again. The French striker is proving that he is well worthy of the best player in the world shouts, just the 24 goals in 22 appearances this season to his name. Xabi Alonso's side come into this one after a empthatic 0-3 victory in Bilbao and face a Celta Vigo side that they had beaten in the past 11 meetings. Forgive me for not thinking there will be a shock on the cards here.
A clash of two Italian giants in the Serie A but Juventus look a shadow of the side that used to dominate Italian football. Napoli have picked up from where they left off having secured the Serie A title last season. They have been dominant in this matchup in recent years, defeating Juve in Naples on the past seven occasions. Napoli come into this one with the strongest home record in the division, last suffering defeat here at the start of December last year (competitive matches). For these reasons, we are siding with Napoli to come out on top in this one.
Pardon the pun. Nice have been in catastrophic form in, suffering six straight defeats in all competitions. They face off against an Angers side that have picked up some good results in recent weeks, including a draw away at Marseille and victory against Toulouse on the road. Whilst not having the strongest of away showings, coming up against a depleted Nice outift provides great opportunity to bring the fans some cheer. Angers goalkeeper Herve Koffi has the most saves per game in the division (4.3) and has hepled his side to consecutive league clean sheets.Taking a bit of a risk with this selection, our in-house tipster having 26.70% confidence in its chances but I am favouring Angers to topple Nice on Sunday afternoon.
On the topic of bad form, look away Cagliari fans. No wins in ten matches, including penalty shootout heartbreak last time out, it's safe to say that they will not be welcoming the visit of high-flying Roma this weekend. Roma come into this matchup with the best away form in the division, winning five out of six matches on the road. The previous matchups between the two also side in favour of the away side, unbeaten in their last six meetings and winning five. Its all systems a go for Roma here and our in-house tipster has 66.70% confidence in this selection.
