Como Backed with Security

Big surprise last night that Newcastle weren't able to darken Man City's door at any stage score-wise - they had twice the amount of big chances to their visitors and had more pops at goal, but just couldn't force anything home to win yesterday's backer. Anyway, heads up and on with the next - we fancy the hosting Como to take at least one point from their visit from AC Milan tonight.

Il Rosseneri aren't in the best of moods heading over to Lake Como tonight, being very lucky to take even a point against a poor Fiorentina side last time out with Christopher Nkunku grabbing a 90th-minute equaliser.

Against Genoa recently, it was largely the same story for Milan - they were being led at the San Siro from the 28th minute onwards, until another stoppage-time goal from Rafael Leao. Massimiliano Allegri's side have looked a little bit shaken in weeks gone by lately, which will have Como fancying their chances.

Led by the legendary Cesc Fabregas, Como have been the overachievers of the season whilst sitting in 6th in the Serie A table with only three league losses to their name so far this term. Two of those losses were recent - two on the bounce against Roma and Inter - but they have recovered well from that blip with a nice four-game unbeaten streak that features three wins.

Their lakeside home has been a fortress too this term, with Como having won five and drawn four of their nine league matches at the Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia, losing none. Fortune may favour them in their battle with Milan tonight.
