Happy New Year everyone! We saw off 2025 in the right way, with longer-than-usual 1.73 line landing over in Saudi Arabia to dismiss the year with a winning bet, and our third on the trot. Let's try and get 2026 off to a lightning start with another winner, yeah? For the long and short, we are backing Liverpool to keep three points at Anfield after Leeds United's visit.
In comparison to how they were a few weeks ago, Liverpool do look more settled and assured with Arne Slot and co coming into the game with four wins on the bounce. Amongst these wins were big away days with Inter and Tottenham as well as home games against Brighton and Wolves that caused them a couple more problems than anticipated, but far less than they may have experienced in these fixtures in the form they showed a few weeks back.
So whilst Slot does tinker away with his system, the real difference between these two sides will be Leeds' shoddy luck on the road. Daniel Farke and his side rely on that famous Elland Road atmosphere for the majority of their good fortune this term - three out of their five games in the recent unbeaten streak were at home with the away affairs being versus Sunderland and Brentford.
Away from home, Leeds have picked up just the one road win in the Premier League this term. Who against, I hear you ask? Only the potential worst Premier League team in football history, Wolverhampton Wanderers.
In these nine away games, they have conceded 20 goals which is a record worsened only by Burnley (24 conceded) and Bournemouth (27) as the only two teams to have held more on the road. Liverpool should make simple-ish work of this tedium away from home to make it five wins in a row in all competitions.
