We take a look at the Friday Night Football action in the Championship as Swansea welcome Wrexham to the Swansea.com Stadium. Swansea's form has taken a turn, winning two of their last three games, while Wrexham have lost just once in their last 11 league games.

After rescuing a point late on at home to Watford last time out, Wrexham have been very up and down, drawing six of their last 11, losing just once in this time too. The visitors' lack of wins has them sitting in 15th, but only six points off the playoffs. If they manage to put a few wins together, starting on Friday, then they may well be in the playoff race.

Swansea are a very up-and-down team this season. The home side won two of their last three, but previously went on a terrible run of form, losing five in a row; this has them sitting just four points off the relegation zone in 19th. They don't play like a side set for relegation but will need a few more promising results if they are to achieve survival.

The meeting is the first between the two clubs since 2003, when they met in a league match in the third division. The game ended 0-0, a result that does not look like it will be recreated on Friday night.

Low Risk

Advantage Wrexham: We see Wrexham as favourites coming into this one, and for good reason. They have the better form, and they also boast a higher calibre of player after an impressive summer window.

Coming away with a point at home to Watford was not a bad result for Wrexham, with the Hornets losing just once in their last nine games. With momentum on their side, Wrexham should come away with at least a point, if not all three.

Over 1.5 Goals: It’s common sense, really. If both sides manage to score, then it stands to reason that the over 1.5 goals leg will land. This leg effectively gets you two for the price of one – you’re very welcome. And with both teams having scored in at least four of their last five, the odds are stacked in this selection's favour.

High Risk

Swansea Shock: While Swansea winning may seem a far reach, don't be surprised if they do as the team have found their feet recently, winning two of their last three games.

Swansea are down there at the moment fighting relegation but have shown immense fight and passion, beating two fellow relegation candidates in games that can only be described as '6 pointers'.

It's Raining Corners: Swansea have averaged 4.8 corners in each game this season, accumulating 101 over 21 games. However, we expect it to be somewhat of a struggle this Friday with Wrexham putting the Swans under pressure.

Over 4.5 corners in both halves seems fairly straightforward. Both teams will be looking for an quick start to the game and we expect shots to be peppered, with the keepers experiencing their fair share of early work.

Big Vip: The 6 ft Slovenian striker is enjoying his second season in the Championship, netting double figures already this season. The striker has netted in two of his last four games and looks to have adapted to the style of football, often finding himself in the right positions this season, something which was not the same last season.

After a very impressive August and September, he's gone quiet for a while but looks to have found that form again, leading us to think he'll find his name on the scoresheet this Friday.
