Having passed the halfway point in the Premier League season, it is once again time for the most puzzling game the Premier League has to offer.
Every year without fail, regardless of the trials and tribulations that have unfolded for them across the season, Tottenham somehow find a way to beat Pep Guardiola;s Manchester City, and often in convincing fashion.
In fact, Spurs have gone just one season without a win against Manchester City since 2018 - a remarkable record, given that for a prolonged period during that time, City was considered the best team in the world.
Once again, Spurs come into Sunday’s late kick-off in questionable form: they qualified automatically for the Champions League last 16 on Wednesday night and yet lie 14th in the league with just seven wins from 23 games.
However, riddled with a list of injuries as long as my leg (8 to be precise), Thomas Frank faces an uphill battle if he is to continue Spurs' unusual luck against City.
City themselves are in the middle of a nice little run of form, with back-to-back 2-0 wins repairing the damage made by consecutive defeats to Manchester United and Bodo/Glimt, and with Champions League last 16 football sealed, they can now fix their attention fully on the league.

City Victory: Though travelling to the Tottenham Hotspur stadium is always bound to dredge up some unpleasant memories, it is incredibly hard to bet against Manchester City here given the number of injuries that have afflicted Spurs.
The Cityzens are themselves missing seven, but their squad depth is far superior to that of the London side, and their overpowering quality should be enough to put Spurs under here. It won’t be easy, though – Tottenham know this is a chance to reignite their season, so City need to prepare for an all-out war here.
Haaland … Again: He seems to score every game these days, and even after a five-game goal drought, he never seems to lose confidence - his beautiful dinked finish against Fenerbahce was testament to his resilience; it certainly didn’t reflect the confidence of a player goalless since January 7th.
He has four goals in seven games against Spurs since moving to City, which is certainly not his best record. However, faced with a defence on its last legs and dwindling energy levels, it won’t take long for him to cause his usual havoc. Expect him to hit the net on Sunday.
Over 2.5 Goals: City are the top-scoring team in the league with 47 goals to their name - they certainly don’t take any mercy on their opponents. Moreover, this fixture always provides entertainment, with many of these meetings going down as some of the greatest fixtures that season.
City’s recent record of over 2.5 goals is poor - just two of their last six games have hit this mark - but Spurs’ track record is far more encouraging, with their last three games ending this way. It certainly won’t be a bore draw here.
Blow for Blow: Despite Tottenham’s current injury crisis, their blood starts to boil when a Manchester City fixture appears on the calendar – it’s a fixture that has the potential to change the entire mood around North London.
Form goes out the window when these two meet - Spurs may be five league fixtures without a win, but they always seem to bring out their best performance of the year against Guardiola. They don’t have enough firepower to win here, but they can certainly come away with a point if they play their cards right.
Both Teams to Score: If a draw does happen, it won’t be a 0-0 - both sides are too committed to attacking for that, and it’ll honestly be a miracle if either side keeps a clean sheet here.
Between Haaland, Marmoush, Foden and Cherki, City have more than enough threat in front of goal, while Tottenham’s Solanke and Kolo-Muani scored some lovely goals in midweek, finding goalscoring form at the perfect time. Once the first goal goes in, attack will be the best form of defence.
Spurs To Lead at HT?: Thanks to the hype this fixture is given each year, both sides will kick off with their blood up and looking for a fast start, and it wouldn’t surprise us if, with the home crowd at their back, Spurs deal an early blow.
They are certainly the more likely to open the scoring, but it all depends on if they can defend their lead. History tells us that they won’t be able to, but if they guard their lead until the halfway point, that will be a big leg ticked off on this accumulator.
Goal Fest: As mentioned previously, this game is never going to be a low-scoring affair. Both sides have reason to chase the game - City are looking to close the gap to Arsenal at the top, while Spurs are looking to send a statement out to the rest of the league that despite their poor position, they are not to be trifled with.
Both sides' attacks have started to fire again, and with the lack of clean sheets between the two in recent times, we think this game is going to rain goals. Score prediction? A dramatic 2-2 draw, in which City come back from a 1-0 deficit at half time.
Usually, this section would be reserved for explaining the steps for how to claim the offer - after all, who’s going to turn down five quid?
However, this time we don’t need to, as the banner at the top of the article takes you straight to the promotion. From here, simply place the bet, and upon the final whistle, claim the reward, which should be added to your BOYLE Sports wallet right away!
