The UEFA Nations League continues on Sunday as Denmark take on Serbia in what is sure to be a close fixture.
Denmark and Serbia have faced off on just 4 occasions.
This weekend's hosts are unbeaten against Serbia. They have won 3 games and drawn 1.
The last match they played was during the group stages of Euro 2024 and ended in a 0-0 draw. Will we see the same again here?
Expect both teams to start their strongest possible lineups with no new injuries or suspensions having an effect on their squads.
Denmark - Kasper Schmeichel, Victor Nelsson, Jannik Vestergaard, Joachim Andersen, Victor Kristiansen, Morten Hjulmand, Pierre-Emile Højbjerg, Alexander Bah, Christian Eriksen, Albert Grønbæk, Kasper Dolberg
Serbia - Predrag Rajković, Strahinja Pavlović, Nikola Milenković, Strahinja Eraković, Veljko Birmančević, Saša Lukić, Ivan Ilić, Kosta Nedeljković, Andrija Živković, Lazar Samardžić, Luka Jović
A big part of Denmark’s squad recently has been their strong defence and their ability to keep the ball out of the net. A big reason for that has to be Schmeichel.
Schmeichel has kept 4 clean sheets in 4 at club level with Celtic and kept another clean sheet in the last match against Switzerland on Thursday night.
If he can do that again he will be one to look out for in this match.
If this game is anything like when these two met at the Euros it is bound to be a close fixture.
However we do feel as though Denmark have a slight advantage heading into this game with a slightly stronger squad as well as a better run of form. Serbia won’t go down without a fight but we would expect Denmark to have the edge in this one.
That is why we are backing odds of 3/4 for a Denmark Win in this game. £10 having the potential to return up to £17.50.
This game is set to kickoff at 17:00 pm on Sunday 8th September 2024 and if you are in the UK you can check out all of the action live on ITV4 or ITVX.
