This one is simple. You have opened your packs and you have got lucky. Maybe you pulled a player worth a few hundred thousand coins, and your FC bank account is already looking extremely healthy.

The best thing to do at this point is to sit on this cash. The market will be extremely expensive at this point. There will be a small number of cards on the transfer market, meaning that nearly every player is in demand. A player that may be priced at 50k could be just 5k a few days later.

Do not waste this money. As you cannot play matches yet, build the foundations of your starter squad around a few of the players you have not sold yet. The team does not need to be complete, but have a strong group of players that you know you can rely on in the coming days/weeks.

Prioritise Objectives and SBCs

The early SBCs and objectives are vital for you earning money at the start of FC 26. Whilst a lot of these are easy to complete and do not give too much of a reward, you never know what you can earn in these packs.

Build Depth, Not Just a Starting XI

I personally advise against building a team on the web app, but I know that a lot of people enjoy it.

If you are inclined to start building your starter squad, the best thing you can do is build depth within this team, not just a starting XI.

The reason is simple. For one, If you have a great XI but your bench is full of non-rare cards who will not be able to make an impact, if you need to make a sub, your team will be significantly weaker.

Another reason is that you may not enjoy the player. Maybe you loved playing with Jamal Musiala last year, but this year, he feels slow and clunky. Well, now you have him in your squad, and you will have to sell him and completely rebuild your team.

It is not worth it. Have around 22 players—two full elevens—that you can rotate around to see who you really enjoy playing with when it comes out on console.

Learn the Market Before You Touch It

One of the most important things to know about the web app is to not to go into the transfer market blindly. This may cost you in the long run.

Watch videos by your favourite creators—or even better, read our guides—to understand what players are meta, which players to hang onto to sell at a later date, and which players you should keep regardless of their price.

When Does the EA FC 26 Web App Launch

The FC 26 Web App will launch this evening, 17th of September 2025, at 6pm (18:00) BST for UK gamers. This will likely be in lieu of any content being released on FC 25, which will officially become the "previous" edition of the FC series at midnight (00:00), 19th of September 2025. Players who pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition before August the 26th will be able to get their hands on it at this time, but those who ordered late, pre-ordered the Standard Edition or simply wish to buy the game at some point after it's official release will be able to do so one week later, at midnight (00:00) going into Friday the 26th of September, 2025.
