Sky Bet League Two Top Scorer Odds 2025/26: Early Odds and Best Bets
With the 2025/26 Sky Bet League Two season now just a few days away, the betting markets are beginning to heat up. None more so than in the race for the golden boot.
Always a competitive race, the top scorer award once again has many players vying to take it home come the end of the season. From new signings looking to light up the division and announce themselves in English football, to established bagsmen ready to once again make their mark with their goal-scoring poise- This is FootballPark's comprehensive guide to the Sky Bet League Two top scorer betting markets looking at the best odds, top picks and those going under the radar ahead of next season.
Playing for an MK Dons side expected to challenge for the title in the 25/26 season, newly signed forward Aaron Collins has emerged as an early favourite for the League Two golden boot.

Spending last season playing League One football for Bolton Wanderers where he managed a reasonable tally of 12 goals, Collins is expected to utilise the playmaking efforts of the likes of Daniel Crowley, MK Dons' top assister in the last campaign, to beef out his goal-scoring tally.
After a very disappointing campaign last season MK Dons have a point to prove this season, and at 5/1 but with a best price of 6/1 with both Ladbrokes and Coral, Collins is clear of his next best competitor in the betting markets and appears the best to back at this moment.
Having ended last season with 19 goals for Notts County who made it into the playoffs last season, Alassana Jatta has been backed to have another strong campaign despite the wide variety of odds for him in the market.
Jatta's shortest odds have him at 8/1 with Bet365 whilst his widest odds see him at 20/1 with BetVictor a price which will likely come down as the season draws closer.
The reason for the lack of agreement in the bookies most likely stems from the uncertainty around where he will play next season. Jatta has been linked to League One clubs, Casa Pia in Portugal and Turkish sides with reports stating that his head may have been turned by the speculation.
That uncertainty makes him a pick with jeopardy and the inclination would be to stay away from backing him just in case he does move before the end of the window.
Last seasons top scorer Michael Cheek ended the campaign on 25 goals, 6 more than his nearest competitor, for a Bromley side who narrowly missed out on the playoffs.

That form makes him one of the favourites to take home the golden boot in this campaign too, priced just behind the previously mentioned options at 10/1 (Bet365, 888Sport).
14/1 (BetVictor) marks the best price and provides pretty good value especially with Bromley's ambitions to force their way into the playoffs come the end of the season.
At 33-years-old whether Cheek will be able to keep up his scoring prowess may face some doubts, but with an already proven record at League Two level, it is hard to look past the big forward.
Similarly to Jatta, Cheek was subject to a bid by League One club Stevenage earlier in the window and, although that speculation seems to have died down, it could be something to think about before placing a bet.
Likely the most well-known name on the list for most, Will Grigg is now 34-years-old and coming off the back of a decent 12 goal season for Chesterfield.
Unfortunately for Grigg, he will likely have to replicate the form of the seasons which made him famous if he is to get anywhere near winning the golden boot in the upcoming campaign.
🔥⚽️ "Will Grigg's on fire, your defence is terrified!" — the song of EURO 2016! ❤️😅

Sitting between 11/1 and 16/1, Grigg appears to have very short odds compared to his actual chances even considering the ambitions of Chesterfield in 25/26. When you take into account the fact that Lee Bonis has also been signed for the striker position and minutes could be shared, steering clear of Will Grigg appears to be the best call at this point.
Coming off the back of a 16 goal League Two campaign, Cole Stockton could be well placed to put up a strong tally once again- An opinion backed up by the betting market.
At 14/1 but with a best price of 25/1 in the current market, Stockton could be one to think about if you can get him whilst the odds are still wide. The issue will come if those odds shorten as there appears to be a bit of uncertainty around how well placed his club Salford City are to compete next season.
The project appears to have stalled a bit in the last couple of seasons and with a lack of exciting signings so far this summer, Stockton may need a few more creative bodies around him if he is to really challenge for the Golden Boot.
There are a few options to choose from around the 20/1 price, and whilst Jake Tabor is by no means the most well known and in fact isn't proven at the level at all- It felt wrong to leave him out with the craziness of his story.
The 22-year-old had been playing his football for Combined Counties Premier Division North side Amersham Town in the low remits of the non-league pyramid where he scored a massive 127 goals in 91 appearances.
From the Combined Counties to the EFL.

Proud to sign my first pro deal at 22!
Now, it’s time to prove myself.@Official_STFC pic.twitter.com/TCQhvUY9Vp
That gained him a life-changing professional contract at League Two side Swindon Town for the upcoming season. Joining a club who have ambitions of making a promotion push, Tabor could well continue his excellent goal-scoring record even with the massive step-up in level he is facing.
Tabor is undoubtedly a long-shot and if looking to bet smart doesn't offer a very strong option, but it is a testament to how good he has been previously that he is even being mentioned in the betting odds at all and if you are looking for an alternative, maybe more fun pick then Jake Tabor could be your man.
Chesterfield's second option in this list, Lee Bonis comes as a bit of an unknown having spent last season in the second division of The Netherlands where he reached double figures for ADO Den Haag.
At 25/1 across the market, Bonis is acknowledged but it feels like he is very much an outside shout when looking at the other more established options you could put your money on
Having reached double figures last year for Swindon after a step-up from the National League, Tshimanga this summer made the move to recently relegated Crawley Town.
His new club have faced a variety of predictions, from fighting for promotion to once again battling relegation. This uncertainty about performance, alongside Tshimanga not setting the league alight last season, makes him a hard sell- But at 25/1, outsider potential can be found if no other option suffices.
Scott Hogan is a well known name in the English lower leagues and next season he lines up for one of the league favourites in MK Dons.

Hogan hasn't had a very strong last couple of seasons and, in fact, the best tally in his entire career wouldn't have won him last years golden boot. Now 33, it looks difficult for him to score enough to challenge next year, but at 22/1 or 33/1 as best odds, you just never know in a side like MK.
Callum Stead scored 18 goals in the National League for a Barnet side who walked to the title least season. If previous examples are anything to go by, Barnet will once again be very astute challengers in their new league and Stead marks a very adept goal-scorer to take them through their campaign.
At 22/1 Stead could be an interesting option. It is uncertain whether his goals will translate to the division above, but I wouldn't write him out of the reckoning completely heading into the 25/26 season
15 League Two goals last season alongside a Swindon side who look to be in a great position heading into the season, Harry Smith shouldn't be written off.
The downside is that Swindon have a lot of attacking options so there will be competition for minutes. Previously mentioned Jake Tabor is coming into the club as a man on a mission, if Swindon decide to play them both together, Smith will score goals but those contributions could be diluted. If he plays by himself and gets the lion's share of minutes, that possibly brings him into play as a serious option to consider.
