What A Sad Little Life... Raheem

News has come out today that the PFA have contacted Chelsea about their treatment of 325K-a-week-earning Raheem Sterling - the same Raheem Sterling who flopped at both Chelsea and Arsenal, whilst rejecting moves to Bayern Munich and Napoli (according to the BBC). Now the PFA want to ensure that bomb-squad members Raheem Sterling and Axel Disasi are treated well.

Now this blog is about Sterling, so I'm not even going to waste my time speaking about that fridge of a centre-back.

Now, I do get it - Chelsea panic-bought Sterling at the start of Todd Boehly’s reign and handed him that ginormous salary because of his perceived "value" based on his successful time at City – even though everyone already knew he was overrated, a player deemed high-quality in large parts due only to his positional sense allowing him to benefit from Pep's much brighter, talented stars.

The thing is, if any one regular person performed the way Sterling has over the last few years, in their regular 9-5 job, they would be gone! With the added caveat of not receiving a (likely) eye-watering payout in return.

Instead, Chelsea (because they’re absolute morons) have to pay a (reported) £16.9m a year for someone who's only current responsibility is to train at night, separate from the rest of the group.

Big whoop, Raheem. We’re all feeling sad for you.
