The hat-trick.
One of football's ultimate flexes, three goals in a game signifies pure domination. Scoring a hat-trick is not simply a statistic; it's a statement. A hat-trick is the kind of performance fans talk about for years, and one the players remember for life.
But here's the twist: you've heard of a hat-trick; now imagine doing the same thing twice in one match. That's right, 6 goals in one match, from one player.
A double hat-trick isn't just rare; it's borderline outrageous and humiliating for the opponent. Today, we're diving into the elite few who've managed to pull off this mind-blowing feat.
Back in 1997, Brazilian forward Edmundo scored 6 goals for Vasco da Gama against Uniao Sao Joao, setting a Brazilian top-flight record.
🇧🇷 Edmundo was some player! This performance in the Brasileirão final for Vasco da Gama vs Palmeiras shows everything he was about.

Over a 17-year career, he suited up for 6 different clubs in Brazil's top flight, leaving his mark wherever he went. On the international stage, Edmundo earned 39 caps for Brazil, finding the net 10 times between 1992 and 2000. He lifted the Copa America with Brazil in 1997, and a year later he was part of the Brazil squad that finished as runners-up in the 1998 FIFA World Cup.
He didn't stop there; in 2000, he came agonisingly close to global glory once again, but this time with Vasco da Gama. Edmundo finished as a runner-up in the FIFA Club World Cup.

At j25 yearsears old, Alvarez has already built a CV most players could only dream of. He played a key role in Man City's historic tr-winningning season in the 2022/23 season, partnering with Erling Haaland to conquer both England and Europe. In the same season, he reached the ultimate peak, winning the 2022 FIFA World Cup with Argentina.

Now, Alvarez has taken his talents to Atlético Madrid, where he is writing a new chapter under the guidance of Diego Simeone. From River Plate, to City, to the world stage, Alvarez's story is one of relentless rise.
Taking a leap back in time, Omar Sivori scored 6 goals for Juventus in a humongous 9-1 win against Inter Milan back in 1961.
An Argentine gem forged in the River Plate academy, Omar Sivori went on to carve out a legendary career in Italy. During his time at Juventus, Sivori became nothing short of iconic, scoring an incredible 135 goals in 215 appearances for the Old Lady.
A pioneer of flair in Italian football, Sivori's legacy transcends generations in both Europe and South America. Though he passed away in 2005, his name remains forever etched in football history.

Back in 1935, Ted Drake scored 7, yes SEVEN, goals for Arsenal in a 7-1 victory over Aston Villa.

Ted Drake was a true warrior in the red and white of Arsenal, a striker who lived and breathed goals. In just 167 appearances for the Gunners, he found the net 124 times, cementing his place among the club's all timers.
Drake's influence didn't stop there. After hanging up his boots, he crossed London to take charge of Chelsea, leaving his mark on both sides of the capital.
He passed away in 1995, aged 82, but his legacy as a goal machine lives on in English football history.
Well... that's a bit ridiculous, isn't it?
Be honest, the only name you recognised was Alvarez, right?
Unless, of course, you're an Arsenal fan, in which case sorry, and not because we assumed you'd never heard of Ted Drake!
In the words of Cesc Fabregas, football is unbelievable.
