Why Brighton have a massive Sunday on their hands
Brighton and Hove Albion will be hoping to end their slow slide down the Premier League table with a win, as they travel along the south coast to face Bournemouth this weekend.
The Seagulls are winless in their last five and were leapfrogged in the table by Sunday’s opponents when the Cherries beat Wolves on Wednesday.
Just a few weeks ago, both clubs were licking their lips at the possibility of pushing towards a European place however it now looks as if they will have to settle for mid-table.
Bournemouth, under Andoni Iraola have had an incredible season and their 1-0 victory in midweek saw them climb into the top half of the table for the first time this season.
The Cherries are just one point off equalling their best ever Premier League points tally.
However, Brighton will prove a tough test for them, as the Seagulls walked away with 3 points from the teams’ previous meeting in September.

Both teams have their fair share of absentees, with Brighton missing Pervis Estupinan, Evan Ferguson, Jack Hinshelwood, Solly March and Kaoru Mitoma, and the possibility of Billy Gilmour and James Milner missing out too.
Bournemouth will be without Marcus Tavernier, Tyler Adams, Ryan Fredericks, and Luis Sinisterra due to long term injuries.
Left-back Milos Kerkez will begin his three-game suspension after Bournemouth’s appeal to overturn his red card against Wolves was rejected.
Unfortunately, our appeal of Milos Kerkez's red card has been rejected.

A game that 20 years ago would have been played in England’s third tier of domestic football is now being played between two established top-flight clubs.
