Tier one Football Park ranked source Fabrizio Romano has delivered the news that Spain captain Álvaro Morata will be heading back to the Serie A, but this time it will be in Milan, not Turin, and become AC Milan’s latest striker. The fee is only €13 million as the 31 year old’s release clause was triggered but the 19 time Serie A champions.
Morata played a total of 48 times across all competitions for Atlético last season and ended the campaign with 21 goals and 5 assists to his name. He had a fairly disappointing Euro 2024 tournament for hi standards scoring just the one goal but I’m sure that he wont care after bring the trophy back to Spain, crushing England’s dreams in the final.
He loved his time playing under manager Diego Simeone in the two stints he spent under his wing. He confirmed himself though it will be a difficult process of saying goodbye to all the players at the club that he originally came through the academy from way back in 2007.

🗣️ “I’m gonna undergo medical and then yes, I will join AC Milan.
I said goodbye to my teammates, Simeone, the board… it’s better to part ways when you can’t give your 100%.”

He will make a perfect replacement for Oliver Giroud who has recently parted ways with AC Milan to join LA FC in the MLS. Over the course of the last 365 days, Morata has averaged 0.70 non-penalty goals, 3.19 shots and 5.64 touches in the opposition box all per 90 minutes of football. He is showing no major signs of declining as he gets closer and closer to retirement age.
Paulo Fonseca should be thrilled to be receiving such a talented edition to his squad and Álvaro could be the missing piece of the puzzle to help Milan achieve that elusive 20th Scudetto title.
