Aberdeen have parted ways with manager Jimmy Thelin, according to the Daily Record.
This comes after The Dons were defeated 1-0 by Falkirk at The Falkirk Stadium, leaving them 8th in the table and adding to a run of 5 games without a win. The Dandies sat bottom of the table in October and had a better run going, but no wins in their last 5 has seen chairman Dave Cormack now decide enough is enough.
Thelin won Aberdeen their first Scottish Cup since 1990 last season, defeating Celtic on penalties at Hampden Park. He also enjoyed a great start to his time at Pittodrie, going unbeaten in his first 11 league games in The Granite City, winning the August manager of the month award in 2024. But this season has fallen short of expectations.

It is most likely Peter Leven will take control until a replacement is found. He was appointed caretaker manager twice in the 2023-24 season, going 10 unbeatean in his games, helping steer the Dons comfortably clear of the Relegation zone after Neil Warnock's tenure. Many fans called for him to be given the full-time job, so Aberdeen fans will be hoping he can replicate this form.
