This past weekend has seen the return of the FA Cup as the competition entered its final qualifying round before the first round proper begins.
As usual there has been an abundance of magic in the competition, and here we will run you through all the notable results and upsets from the weekend as clubs seemed entry to the main draw – which you can see live on TNT Sports on Monday.
National League South side Hemel Hempstead achieved a remarkable victory against National League’s Yeovil.
After suffering an early setback in the first period with Isiah Noel-Williams dismissed, Kyle Ajayi gave the hosts the lead. Harvey Greenslade then levelled the tie for Yeovil with 20 minutes left on the clock before a stunning late header Finley Wilkinson earned an incredible victory with just minutes remaining.
The victory has put the Tudor into the FA Cup main draw for just the third time in 105 years.

A second upset of the afternoon occurred in Kent, where hosts Ebbsfleet – another National League South side – achieved a superb upset, forcing another National League outfit into an abrupt exit.
Goals either side of half time earned an impressive 2-0 win over the non-league step 1 side to book their spot into the main draw for the sixth time in seven seasons.

Isthmian League Premier Division side Chatham Town achieved an outstanding comeback to down National League South’s Tonbridge Angels.
After conceding early on and entering the interval a goal down away from home, manager Kevin Hake must be credited for what we can only assume to have been an inspiring team talk, as his side responded immediately after the break, scoring three second-half goals to win 3-1.
This victory marks the end of Chatham’s cup struggles as they finally make the main draw for the first time in 97 years.

Whitstable Town were one win away from history, but they just could not match the might and ability of National League side Wealdstone.
The ninth-tier side would have been the lowest-ranked side in the next round if they were not subject to a 45-minute rout by the London-based side. Whitstable had already caused a massacre of upsets to even get to this point, having knocked out a team two leagues higher than them for the past three rounds.
The current FA Vase holders put in a valiant effort, however, and can hold their heads high – especially seeing that they defeated Wealdstone in the second period. Sean Dyche ball.

Sutton United’s 2016-17 FA Cup run almost caught up with them in the opening fixture of the round.
It was a dream start for the minnows as the Southern Premier South side took the leadbut it lasted just two minutes before they were quickly pegged back.
The opening 15 minutes of the second period saw a wild sequence of back-and-forth football – something which usually favours the underdogs in this competition – as three goals flew in with Darryl Sanders scoring a brace, nearly earning Farnham Town an unlikely win.
The hosts came inches away from an upset for the ages; however, a Jayden Harris goal deep into stoppage time meant the game ended 3-3, and the teams will head to the capital midweek for a replay.
Both clubs are newly promoted in their respective divisions, but it was Totton who almost snatched a late upset win to book their spot in the main draw.
It was a game not lacking in action, but certainly in goals. Truro fans travelling for four hours up to Totton would not have been impressed for much of the game. The hosts were looking like they would be destined for a first round berth until Truro’s Love-Holmes popped up with a leveller with 10 minutes to go.
The hosts were then awarded a penalty in stoppage time, but completely blew a perfect opportunity to save them from a trip to Truro just days later when Jay Emmanuel-Thomas sent his spot-kick crashing into the crossbar.
The late blunder means the Stags must head down to Cornwall for a replay on Tuesday evening.

Lastly, Harborough Town earned themselves a replay in Altrincham during a thrilling final minutes play.
Two goals shortly before and after half time had the hosts skipping into the main draw – that was until some FA Cup magic appeared to save Harborough’s skin.
Connor Kennedy’s header earned the visitors hope with just injury time to play, before Elliot Putman’s scrappy finish ended the fightback, meaning they head into the replay on Tuesday with home advantage and the momentum.
