MK Dons are currently in talks with Derby County defender Kane Wilson over a permanent transfer before the Monday deadline.
MK Dons have sent a bid to the Championship club which is expected to be accepted imminently with a deal for the 25-year-old almost over the line, as Derby look to clear some personnel off their books before 7pm on Monday.
Wilson joined the Rams in 2023 and was a key part of the squad which gained promotion from League One and also helped them avoid relegation from the Championship last season.
Signing Wilson is an excellent bit of business for MK Dons who have already had an excellent window thus far, undoubtedly building a squad set to challenge for promotion this season.
Wilson has had his injuries troubles in the past and, with that being said, it is understandable to see him take what will likely be a long-term contract on decent wages, despite arguably being above the level.
Wilson is an unbelievable signing for MK and I think highlights just how much players liked Warne.

Will get a long term contract on decent money there and given the injuries he's had, I'm not surprised he's taking it.
Sad to see him leave, enjoyed watching him play. 🦬 #dcfc pic.twitter.com/2IPsdQeTF0
The right back will add yet more quality to a side which has already signed very well equipped players to its ranks this summer, with the likes of Aaron Collins from Bolton and Nathaniel Mendez-Laing also through the door.
There is a growing acceptance around the Rams that some players will have to be offloaded in the final few days of this transfer window.
This comes after a window of big spending which has seen them splash the cash in a bid to push further up the table this season. The biggest of said transfers came in the form of a £6m fee for Patrick Agyemang from Charlotte in the MLS.

The Rams are also looking to ensure they can register some of their other signings with these recent outgoings, with Lewis Travis and Max Johnston both having joined the club in recent weeks.
