Peterborough to win the Cambridgeshire Derby? | Gab Sutton Predictions
EFL expert Gab Sutton is back working with Football Park, and once again he’s given us his best predictions for this weekend’s EFL fixtures.
Who’s he picked for sure, and who is he thinking about with outside odds?
Whether you’re building a naughty ACCA for the weekend, or just interested to see what a man who knows the EFL like the back of his hand is thinking, we’ve got his tips laid out here.
Middlesbrough to beat Luton Town - 5/6
Luton might have picked up a win midweek against Cardiff, but they’ll still be no match for Michael Carrick’s Boro.
Sunderland to beat Coventry City - 6/5
Gab seems sure that Sunderland’s strong defence will see them breeze past managerless Coventry City.
Leeds United to beat Queens Park Rangers - 1/4
QPR are far too leaky to be competitive here, and Leeds will bounce back from their midweek defeat at the Den.
Combining all three selections from the Championship would earn you great 4/1 odds, meaning a £10 stake would return a huge £50 should it land.
Birmingham City to beat Northampton Town - 1/4
Birmingham’s League One super team shouldn’t have an issue against Northampton, Jay Stansfield and Christoph Klarer will be key.
Huddersfield to beat Crawley Town - 11/13
Gab thinks Huddersfield have been given generous odds here, and they’ll surely beat Rob Elliot’s Crawley Town.
Peterborough United to beat Cambridge United - 3/4
The Posh shouldn’t struggle in the Cambridgeshire Derby, and will secure a win against Garry Monk’s U’s.
Combining all three selections from League One would earn you decent 3/1 odds, meaning a £10 stake would return £40 should it land.
Chesterfield to beat Accrington Stanley - 3/5
Newly promoted Chesterfield have been quite confusing this year. Despite their results, their performances suggest them to be one of the best in the league. They should beat Stanley.
MK Dons to beat Swindon Town - 19/20
MK Dons have arguably the best squad, and maybe now the best manager, in League Two. The results are about to fly in, and they’ve got generous odds against Swindon here.
Walsall to beat Crewe Alexandra - 8/11
Walsall should easily beat Crewe, as they look to catch up with Darren Moore’s Port Vale.
Combining all three selections from League Two would earn you huge 4/1 odds, meaning a £10 stake would return a hefty £50 should it land.
Grimsby Town to beat AFC Wimbledon - 22/5
Wimbledon had a great result against MK Dons in the FA Cup, but Grimsby’s good away record means they’re certainly in with a chance.
Reading to beat Stevenage - 13/5
The Royals have a really underrated team and manager, and have very generous odds against Stevenage.
