Recently sacked Kilmarnock boss Stuart Kettlewell could be set for a quick return to management, in the form of a reunion with relegation threatened Ross County.

Kettlewell was relieved of his duties at Rugby Park after a 2-1 defeat to Aberdeen which added to a 10 game winless run, but according to Scott Burns, he could be set for a return to the Highlands.
The Staggies have performed well below expectations this season, and find themselves 5 points adrift at the foot of the Championship, albeit with a game in hand. Don Cowie stepped down after 3 league games following a 3-1 home defeat to Partick Thistle, and his successor Tony Docherty was sacked along with assistant Callum Davidson following a humiliating 6-0 demolition job by Raith Rovers.

Kettlewell has spent a lot of time in Dingwall, having played for The Staggies, before becoming an under 20s coach and then stepping up to co-manager alongside current CEO Steven Ferguson, under whom Ross County won the Championship title and the Challenge Cup in 2019. He would then be sacked the following season with the club fighting against immediate relegation from the Premiership.
According to Roy MacGregor, County have recieved more than 80 applications for the position and going for a candidate who helped win them promotion could be the safe move.
