Home Advantage Counts

It is very easy to back the home side, simply because they are the home side. However, both Fulham and Birmingham City give good reason to believe that they will make the most of the home advantage.

Marco Silva's side have won just three matches in 11 league attempts this season and it is no suprise that each of these victories have come at Craven Cottage. The London side have only tasted defeat at home on one occasion and that was to Arsenal, so we are willing to let that slide. Maintaining strong home form is pivotal for Fulham to maintain their status as a Premiership club and with three straight seasons of experience under their belt, they have a knowhow of how to get results in this division. The previous matchups have produced a mixed bag of results between the two but we're willing to side with The Cottagers and the API has 46.70% confidence in this selection.

Over in the West Midlands, The Blues are determined to make St. Andrews a fortress and two 4-0 victories in their previous two home outings is solid going. Manager Chris Davies was recently under pressure for not being able to produce results given the financial backing provided by Tom Brady and co. Things are looking on the up for a side tipped to be in and around the top at the start of the season. The same cant be said over at Norwich City and it is safe to say that the gamble on Liam Manning was not a success. Whilst The Canaries have shown their best form on the road (both wins coming here) and have a good track record against their weekend opponents, the future looks Blue and the API has 46.70% in our selection here.

Away Day Thrills

It wouldn't be a weekend acca without chucking a couple of away wins in there, especially to build the odds up so you can quit the day job as planned. We have good reason to believe that these two sides will treat their fans to an away day treat on the weekend.

League Two Colchester look a strong outfit under Danny Cowley and with plenty of young prospects thriving now given the license to do so, the push for a place in the playoffs is well and truely on. Colchester were victorious on the road last time out, defeating high-flying Walsall and sit sixth in the league on points gained on the road. Meanwhile, Notts County have blown hot and cold in recent weeks and failed to take advantage of injury-depleated Harrogate Town (naming just the three subs) and this gives enough reason to believe that there could be a shock on the cards here. Colchester have not enjoyed their recent trips to Meadow Lane but we are rooting for an end to this trend, despite the API having 20% confidence in this selection.

Huddersfield failed to bounce back to the Championship at the first time of asking but they remain a side full of talent and have shown snippets of their old selves again this season. The Terriers have won their last two matches, including victory against this weekend's opponents in the EFL trophy to make it three straight victories against Mansfield Town. This psychological advantage is one that we believe is too strong to ignore in this matchup and our in-house betting tipster has 40% confidence in this selection.
