How to play: Guess the player by their stats

The aim of this game is to work out who the player is that the host of the game is describing using their stats.

In most cases, the stat of goals scored is used. However, you can use any stat you like when it comes to this.

If goals are used, the host starts by stating how many goals the player scored in their first season and in what competition. We usually like to pick the league they played in as the competition.

For instance, Wayne Rooney scored six goals in his first professional season, in the Premier League. So the host would state that this player scored six goals in the Premier League, without revealing who the player is.

Whilst giving each player the chance to guess who the player is after revealing the stats of a season, the host continues to list the stats season by season. The first player to name the player currently wins the game.

IMPORTANT: The host must not state the year of any of the seasons. This makes it much easier for the players to name the correct answer.

If a player makes an incorrect guess, then they’re frozen out of the game until all of the other players have also guest incorrectly.

A player does not have to guess on any particular round. They can guess whenever they want.

If by the end of the player's career, no player has worked out who it is, then the host can start to reveal the years of the seasons.
