Who are the favourites to get the Coventry job?
Following the departure of Mark Robins from the managerial role at Coventry City, there is a whole list of candidates that are capable of taking over. Here at Football Park, we’re going to be looking at all the candidates and their odds so you can choose the best value for who you think will get the job.
Previously manger of Derby County, Chelsea, Everton and then Chelsea again, legendary midfielder Frank Lampard looks like he will be adding Coventry to that impressive list of clubs. Frank has been out of management since the end of the 2022/23 season so all eyes will be on him in his first game back if he gets the job.

Ranked as PariMatch’s favourite candidate to take over at Coventry, Frank Lampard to become the next permanent manager is odds of 2/7. Provided a £10 stake is placed, you could see winnings of £12.86 if Lampard gets the job.
Back in the day and Robbie Keane used to don a Coventry City shirt when they were in the Premier League. In 34 games for The Sky Blues he netted 12 goals and produced one assist. Now he is linked with a move back, but this time it is for the manager role and not centre forward.
PariMatch are giving out odds of 4/1 for Keane’s return to Coventry which means provided a £10 stake is placed, you could see winnings of £50.
Matt Bloomfield’s Wycombe Wanderers are killing it in League One at the moment. Top of the league, unbeaten in their last nine games which includes eight wins and scoring 32 goals in the 14 domestic games so far whilst only conceding 16. You can read more about how well Matt Bloomfield is doing as well as read why he might be your choice to replace Mark Robins.
Given he is doing very well at his current club, it might be difficult to sway him away from Wycombe to join Coventry but PariMatch are giving out odds of 10/1 for Bloomfield to join. Provided a £10 stake is placed, you could see winnings of £110 if he gets the job.
After missing out on the permanent England manager, Lee Carsley would be a great option for Coventry to look into. Whilst in charge of England’s Under 21s he averaged 2.41 points per game over 29 matches and had a record of 23W-5L-1D, leaving him with a 79.31% win rate. Mark Robins will never be replaced in the hearts of the Coventry fans but Carsley could deliver results.
PariMatch are offering odds of 12/1 for Lee Carsley to become the next permanent manager of Coventry City. Provided a £10 stake is placed, you could see winnings of £130 if he gets the call from the higher ups to become manager.
Another manager without club in this list is Steven Schumacher who did a fantastic job with Plymouth Argyle, taking them out of League One and into the Championship. He then left for Stoke where it didn’t work out for him but it leaves him in a position where he is free for this opportunity at Coventry. He is good enough though as he has been linked to Premier League side Everton, making the pick up even better if they pull it off.

PariMatch are offering odds of 14/1 for Schumacher to replace Mark Robins. Provided a £10 stake is placed, you could see winnings of a whopping £150 if the ex Plymouth manager becomes the new man in charge at Coventry City.
