On Saturday, Wembley stadium hosts a friendly game between two of the World’s best international sides as England take on Brazil in an International friendly.

Both sides have important summers ahead of them with England battling in Euro 2024 and Brazil fighting it out for the Copa America title so this game comes as a key preparation point.

England’s Euro 2024 campaign will come with a lot of pressure. The nation is certainly backing them to win the whole competition and in fairness there is every reason to believe if you're an England fan. Following the near success of the last Euros England will look to enact some revenge this time around and take the trophy home for themselves.

Getting a good result out of this game will be very important ahead of the tournament. Especially against a huge international powerhouse like Brazil.

To make things better for the Three Lions they are currently on an impressive unbeaten run. The last time they lost being in the World Cup Quarter final against France.

Brazil on the other hand come into this game with a new manager as they look to bounce back from a very poor end of 2023. Dorival Junior will take charge of the international giants for the first time at the weekend so will look to get off to a great start. A win against England to start off his time as manager will be looked upon in a fantastic light.

Despite going unbeaten England’s last two games were pretty lacklustre. A 2-0 win against Malta thanks to an own goal from Enrico Pepe and a goal from Harry Kane was England’s last win. Their last game though came against North Macedonia and ended in a disappointing 1-1 draw. Certainly not up to the standards that Gareth Southgate has set.

Brazil are on an awful run though. Without a win in their last four games their previous match ended in a 1-0 win for World Champions Argentina.

It will be interesting to see how Southgate chooses to line up in this game. The squad announcement brought the same usual big hitters such as Kane, Jude Bellingham, Bukayo Saka, Phil Foden and so on. But it also saw some interesting additions such as Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite, Liverpool’s Joe Gomez and the newly added Manchester United starboy Kobbie Mainoo.

We would expect England to field a fairly strong eleven in this game but some England returns and debuts could certainly be in store.

The Brazil squad on the other hand has taken some big hits. Man United’s Casemiro and Arsenal’s Gabriel, both key absentees. As always though Brazil will have some huge names to call upon. Vinicius Jr, Raphinha, and Bruno Guimaraes, the key players to look out for.

The two sides have battled it out against one another on 26 different occasions. With England managing just four wins in those games. The Three Lions' worst record against any other country. Brazil winning eleven and the two sides drawing eleven also. However it isn’t all negatives for the hosts with Brazil winning just twice in 12 games at Wembley.

International friendlies don’t get much bigger than this. Two powerhouses in International football squaring off at Wembley. It is bound to be an intense battle. One I wouldn’t miss out on for the world.
