Football Manager 26, the latest iteration of the popular video game series by Sports Interactive, is right around the corner.
The game is set to release on the 4th of November in full, with the pre-launch beta (what many players consider the true launch date of the game) rumoured to be releasing as early as next week.

The game is jam-packed full of new features, including graphic overhauls, new player movements and a completely revamped User Interface. It was this dramatic overhaul in new features that led to the delay and eventual cancellation of Football Manager 25, with the two-year wait for a new instalment in the series only adding fuel to the burning hype around the new game.
However, Sports Interactive boss Miles Jacobson recently announced that one big feature from previous titles won't be a part of Football Manager 26 - international management.
Though rumours have stated that the ability to lead a country through World Cups and international tournaments may be added to the game later down the line, fans won't be able to do so upon the game's release with Jacobson stating that the game mode has generally not been "well-received".
Sorry to those of you who take on the England job just to call up completely random players for the sake of giving them caps for the country. By that, I mean me.
When being interviewed in Korean for Donga, SI studio director Miles Jacobson confirmed that international management would not be a part of Football Manager 26's incoming release in a few week's time:
"We decided to remove it for now because the feedback from users wasn't great, and we judged that its level of quality was insufficient. We plan to take the necessary time to rebuild it properly."

When quizzed by the interviewer about the move, particularly with the World Cup at the end of the season, Jacobson understood the market that the world's premier football tournament represented, but doubled down on the need to create a game mode that fans would enjoy as the main priority:
"Of course, we recognize the big market that the World Cup represents, but we believe that improving the overall quality of the game is more important. The feedback from users was also along the lines of, "It wasn't that fun, anyway.""
