Webb began his managerial career when he was briefly promoted to a First Team Coach, then Manager, at Leyton Orient. From then, his next big break came when he oversaw Chesterfield's promotion to Sky Bet League Two and their impressive campaign the following season under the guidance of manager Paul Cook.
Yeovil have confirmed that Richard Dryden will take back control and be ‘given the resources’ to carry the team through the remainder of the season.
The Stroud-born former defender will draw on his knowledge of the side since joining in the summer to reunite with then-head-coach Mark Cooper. Having taken up roles previously with other National League challengers such as Aldershot, York City and Tamworth, Dryden has plenty of experience of the level and could absolutely steady the ship for The Glovers.
Although Webb was announced before their match-up against Woking at home, Dryden took control and coached a 1-0 win, with a last-gasp poke home from Luke McCormick sealing the three points at Huish Park.

Webb’s only game in charge came at the weekend, in which the Somerset outfit suffered a 1-0 away defeat to Tamworth in The Enterprise National League.
Substitute Andrew Olowabori ran the length of the pitch late on but fired wide in an attempt to salvage a point at The Lamb, but Tamworth’s solitary goal via the towering Kennedy Digie sent the visitors home empty-handed.
It is fair to say that Dryden has an uphill task to get Yeovil back on track if they want to eventually create a path leading back to the promised land of the Football League. However, will the lack of fresh ideas hold Yeovil back in turning this ship around?
We’re less than 10 games in & you’re saying the assistant who plays the same style & tactics as the manager you fired is taking it on for the rest of the season.

Sorry, as a fans we cannot accept that response.
We look terrible & need fresh ideas. Sorry state of affairs.#ytfc
Three seasons ago, The Glovers finished 22nd In the National League, and were relegated to step two of Non-League. Although champions of National League South the proceeding season, they have struggled to establish themselves since returning, and a rocky beginning to this current season saw the reign of Cooper, assisted by Dryden, come to an end.
Although boasting impressive talent such as a fan favourite Junior Morias and Josh Sims, Yeovil currently sit 17th in the National League. With a trip to Aldershot on Wednesday, and a few 'favourable' fixtures on the horizon including a trip to fellow strugglers Sutton United, Dryden will be desperate to turn around the clubs' fortunes and attempt to climb the table.
