Sheffield United Set to Trigger South Korean's Release Clause

Sheffield United are reportedly set to trigger the release clause of South Korean, Red Star Belgrade full-back Seol Young-Woo.

The release clause is set at £4.3m, with the Serbian club expecting tomorrows Champions League qualifier second leg against Pafos FC to be his last game for the club.

The 26-year-old only signed from Ulsan Hyundai ahead of last season, but already looks to be heading from Red Star to the Championship with Ruben Selles looking to strengthen his backline.

Sheffield United Looking For Reinforcements

The start to this campaign has been far from ideal for The Blades, who are currently sitting bottom of the Championship after 3 games.

The club are in need of both defensive reinforcements and attacking output, both of which Seol Young-Woo offers in abundance.

With 6 goals and 8 assists in the last campaign, Selles has identified the South Korean as a target - and the Blades are now upping their attempts to sign him.

Blades Target Mee

It isn't only the South Korean who is on Sheffield United's radar, as they are also reportedly looking to reach an agreement with veteran centre back Ben Mee, who is currently looking for a new club.

Reports suggest Ben Mee may prefer to stay in the Premier League, however, with some suggesting a return to Brentford could be on the cards.

The 35-year-old would get his wished for playtime whilst also adding some much needed experience to the Blades' squad, which is looking to steady the ship in their bid to return to the Premier League.
