The BEST Last Minute Gems For FPL This Season
The Premier League is back and with that comes the return of Fantasy Premier League.
Managers from all over the world are building their teams and with the deadline approaching we are here to suggest some of the best gems to put in your team ahead of the season’s kickoff.
The first shout goes to Newcastle and England winger Anthony Gordon.
Arguably he should have got a few more minutes at the Euros after a successful season with the Magpies last year.
Managing 11 goals and 10 assists last season, Gordon ended the year as the ninth highest points scorer in the league. Something that, if he can do it again, makes him a near certainty for your starting elevens.

Smith Rowe made the switch from Arsenal to Fulham this summer after what has been a few seasons filled with injuries.
However, coming into this Fulham team he will look to get back the form he had just a few seasons ago with Arsenal where he managed 10 goals and 2 assists.
Having bagged two goals in two games during preseason for Fulham, Smith Rowe has shown he will be one of the main attacking threats for the Cottagers guaranteeing that he will pick up valuable points this year in FPL.

This one may seem like a rogue shout but hear us out.
Dennis looks as though he will be back playing in the Premier League again with Nottingham Forest this season so if you are looking for a cheap option upfront he could be the man.
A few seasons ago he looked incredible netting 10 Premier League goals in a struggling Watford side. If he can show any sort of ability on that level this year - in what is a much better Nottingham Forest side especially in terms of creating chances - he is sure to pick up a lot of FPL points.
And with his price set at £5 million he allows you to improve in other areas of your squad as well. He could be a perfect cheap option this year.

If you are looking for a dirt cheap midfield option that is almost guaranteed to start for a top performing club Rogers is your man.
After signing for Aston Villa in February last year, Rogers made 11 appearances for Unai Emery’s men. In that time he managed 3 goals which may not sound like a lot but only Ollie Watkins managed more in that run.
With Emery clearly taking a liking to the 22 year old he is likely to start often for Villa. Especially as they try to balance Premier League and Champions League football.
Another start for Morgan Rogers (5m) last night against Athletic Bilbao.

That is 4 starts for him now from Aston Villa’s 5 pre-season games (he also got 45 minutes in the other one).
He has scored 3 goals and got 1 assist.
He even played as a striker last night 👀

Brighton’s Valentín Barco is the cheapest option on this list and yet is arguably the most exciting.
He managed to get a few minutes under his belt last season and everytime he got the ball he was looking to create.
When looking at your FPL defence it is always important to bring in attack minded players who are likely to not only keep clean sheets but also create chances - potentially getting assists.
If the 20 year old can break into this Brighton side under new manager Fabian Hürzeler, we don’t see why he won’t be picking up a lot of points this season. And considering he is so cheap he has to be one to look out for - even if just for your bench.
In a context of necessity, Valentín Barco made his debut: 2 key passes & was the player with the most chances created (3). All this in his first 15’ in a completely different football.
