Tuesday's night of Champions League action in Matchweek Two was certainly not lacking goals - with 33 strikes across the nine games - as world class attackers stole the limelight.
There was also an emotional return for a certain special manager, plus the potential for headaches for another manager after back-to-back defeats.
Here's the low-down from Tuesday's European matches.
The build-up all week was focused on one man and one man only - The Special One.
Returning to the club where he won three Premier League crowns for just the eighth time since initially leaving in 2007, the Portuguese was given the red carpet treatment.

Wholesome from Jose Mourinho on his bond with Chelsea 🤝 pic.twitter.com/GHgjtfXTxz
On the pitch, it didn't end the way he would have wanted, as they lost 1-0 courtesy of a Richard Rios own goal in the 17th minute.
Still, Benfica didn't play badly and probably should have taken something from the game, especially as they had more shots on goal yet the final piece went astray in the penalty area.
Either way, it was nice to see him remain in good spirits post match.
Jose Mourinho still gets his favourite biscuits! 🍪

Kylian Mbappe's electric start to the season for Real Madrid took another twist away in Kazakhstan.
Facing underdogs Kairat Almaty, the French forward set Los Blancos on their way to victory with a penalty in the 25th minute, before two goals in the second half rounded off a hat-trick and put Madrid 3-0 up.
Later goals from Eduardo Camavinga and Brahim Diaz sealed a 5-0 win.
The 26-year-old already has eight goals in seven La Liga games, and now an even more impressive tally of five in two in the Champions League.

After finishing seventh in the Ballon D'or rankings having missed out on one all his career, could this be the season where he finally claims it and inspires his team to another European title?
Another forward hot on his heels last night was Harry Kane, who added to his own exceptional Bayern tally with a brace.
Playing in a deeper 10 position behind Nicolas Jackson, the Englishman added to his two goals in matchweek one against Chelsea.

He now has 100 goals for Bayern Munich in just 104 games, the quickest time any player has ever reached that number in Europe's top five leagues.

Bayern romped to a 5-1 victory in Cyprus, going 4-0 up with goals from Raphael Guerreiro, Jackson and Kane before Mislav Orsic pulled one back for Pafos on the edge of half time.
Michael Olise scored the sole second half strike.
Bodo/Glimt and Tottenham Hotspur faced off in a repeat of last season's Europa League semi-final, where Spurs cruised to a 5-1 aggregate win.
This time round though, it was far from plain sailing.
The Norwegians found themselves 2-0 up as Jens Hauge was at the double, after Rodrigo Bentancur had a goal ruled out.
Despite Spurs eventually rescuing a point through Micky van de Ven and an 89th minute own goal, it was far from the result Thomas Frank was hoping for.
Arne Slot faces the first real questions since arriving as Liverpool boss a little over a year ago.
Having cruised to the league last season and winning the first five matches of this one, the Reds have now suffered back-to-back defeats to Crystal Palace and Galatasaray.
Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak are yet to really take off in a Liverpool shirt despite some decent displays, as questions mount regarding the amount of money spent in the summer.
The Turk giants won 1-0 thanks to a Victor Osimhen penalty.
Victor Osimhen has now scored 6 goals in 6 games against English sides.
