So who exactly is Min-hyuk Yang and why are Tottenham so keen on the addition?
Yang has been a prospect on the rise in South Korea, with performances for the national team at youth level catching attention.
Yang was a key influence in South Koreaβs U17 Asian Cup run, which saw the Tigers eventually lose to Japan in the final.
These performances led to Yang signing a semi-professional contract with Gangwon, allowing the youngster to play K League matches, without having to interrupt his high school studies.
After an impressive preseason, which saw the 17 year-old record a goal and assist abasing Russian side Dynamo Moscow, Min-hyuk Yang was given his first-team debut against Jeju United.
This appearance at the age of 17 years, 10 months and 15 days would see Yang become the youngest player in Gangwon history.
The South Korea youth international would round out his debut with an assist in a 1-1 draw, an indication that the step up in competition wasnβt an issue.
Yang would score his first goal for Gangwon just eight days later, becoming the youngest goalscorer in K League history at 17 years, 10 months and 23 days.
Min-hyuk Yang would become an ever present member of the Gangwon squad, playing on either left or right wing.

June 17th 2024, Yang would once again create history becoming the first ever K League player to sign a professional contract while in the middle of a semi-professional deal.
This announcement came off the back of the teenager winning consecutive K League Young Player of the Month awards, becoming the youngest and first semi-pro player to win the award in the process.
Min-hyuk Yang has registered 7 goals and 3 assists for Gangwon during the 2024 season.
Min-hyuk Yang is known to have a fast-paced style, which Gangwon likes to exploit when it comes to creating counter-attacks due to his pace and ability to dribble at opposing defenders.
Yangβs ability to retain possession is also viewed as a positive, creating time for teammates to find themselves in better positions in the final third.
With Gangwonβs high pressing style of play, Yang has had to do his fair share on the defensive end too.
Recording 1.7 tackles, 0.8 possession won in the final third and 4 balls recovered and 3.9 duals per game.

At just 18 years-old Yang will need time and development in order to reach the heights that many think he can achieve.
However, with such a strong introduction to the professional game thereβs no reason to believe that Tottenham might have a special player on their hands for the future.
