It’s the international break ladies and gentleman, but that doesn’t mean we’re giving up on our expert tips, instead we’ve done our research on the upcoming international fixtures.
We’re taking a look at Friday’s fixture, where Richard Gareca’s Chile team host Dorival Junior’s Brazil.
Both teams have been performing poorly in the World Cup qualifiers so far, with Chile sat in 9th while Brazil sit in 5th.
Similarly, both teams had underwhelming Copa America campaigns.
Chile Predicted Line-up - Brayan Cortes; Fabian Hormazabal, Guillermo Maripan, Paulo Diaz, Thomas Galdames; Diego Valdes, Dario Osorio, Rodrigo Echeverria, Erick Pulgar; Eduardo Vargas, Victor Davila
Chile have been through a torrid run of form, losing their last five matches and sparsely winning in the not so recent past.
They’ve looked weak across the board and struggled to score goals.
Brayan Cortes will have to be on form in goal against Brazil’s stacked attack.
Brazil Predicted Line-up - Ederson; Danilo, Marquinhos, Gabriel Magalhaes, Alex Telles; Andre Trindade, Bruno Guimaraes, Lucas Paqueta; Raphinha, Endrick, Rodrygo
Brazil, despite their poor recent form, have a hard to deny quality in their squad.
They’ve struggled to score recently, but credit has to be given to Wolves’ Andre in midfield who’s looked excellent in his maiden performances for Brazil.
Endrick could be key should Brazil return to goalscoring form.
The two teams have met 17 times since 2004. Of them, Brazil have won 13, whilst Chile have won one.
Three matches have resulted in a draw.
24th March 2022 - Brazil 4-0 Chile - World Cup Qualifiers
3rd September 2021 - Chile 0-1 Brazil - World Cup Qualifiers
3rd July 2021 - Brazil 1-0 Chile - Copa America
11th October 2017 - Brazil 3-0 Chile - World Cup Qualifiers
9th October 2015 - Chile 2-0 Brazil - World Cup Qualifiers
Although Brazil haven’t been at their best in recent years, they have too much quality in their squad to overlook.
However, they’ve struggled to score goals, which will be reflected in the score line.
We think overall the best value tip is Brazil to win & under 2.5 goals, backed up by our research.
Odds of 21/10 on QuinnBet mean that a £10 bet has the potential to return up to £31 in this match.
(odds subject to change)
Chile 0-2 Brazil
Although Brazil have struggled in recent years, they’ll be too strong for Chile to stop.
The day before this fixture, England take on Greece in the Nations League.
