Cristiano Ronaldo was up to his old antics and showed his insecurities in his recent interview with Piers Morgan. Whilst the two have a rather unusual bromance, that wasn't the story taking the headlines. Ronaldo cleared up some rumours in the second part of the two-part interview, but also showed that after being 40 years of age he still has those same immaturities that plagued his career. No one has ever doubted his talent, but these interviews are not doing him any favours. When Piers Morgan asked Ronaldo if he believes he has earned the right to be considered the greatest of all time, Ronaldo bluntly replied, "of course." It will always be up for debate no doubt, but Ronaldo does seem to want to be perceived as number one. Perhaps the comments of former teammate Wayne Rooney saying Messi is "better" might be affecting him. Who knows?
Yes he actually did say this. The Portuguese star has fully embraced the Saudi League and its players by ranking it high amongst the other biggest leagues in the world such as the Portuguese League and the French League. The now billionaire is being paid millions by Al Nassr until 2027, so he wouldn’t exactly slander the league he plays in. He also added that many of his Saudi League companions would agree how tough the league actually is.
Ronaldo further backed his current goalscoring form in Saudi by passionately saying "if I played in the Premier League in a top team I would score the same". Another rather controversial comment from Ronaldo, but Piers Morgan never shut him down, he actually agreed. It is certain the vast majority of fans remember how his second stint at Man United turned out after a rather impressive first season back with the club. He left the United fans with a sour taste in their mouths after his brief return to the club. His recent comments will leave an even worse taste.
Cristiano Ronaldo tells Piers Morgan he no longer 'cares' about being considered the greatest footballer of all time.

The former United man didn't hold back when it came to scrutinizing his former club. Whilst Ruben Amorim has had a tricky start at the Red Devils, he is now unbeaten in four matches. Ronaldo believes United currently "don't have a structure" and are lacking a direction. Ronaldo was one of the greats at United but in recent years and a 15th place Premier League finish, no one has really stepped up since the Sir Alex Ferguson days. Ronaldo understands Amorim has a very tough task on his hands and the players need to understand what Manchester United is.
Amorim did reply to his fellow Portuguese man's comments. He said: “What we need to do is focus on the future. We know that we, as a club, made a lot of mistakes in the past, but we are trying to change that." The United boss has improved dramatically this season and a win against Europa League winners Tottenham Hotspur tomorrow could push United up to second in the league. There are also talks swirling about that Ronaldo is interested in buying a club in the future. Could another reunion be on the cards?
If there's one thing in the world that will never change, it's Ronaldo loving himself. After flexing his abs and fitness regime to Piers Morgan, Ronaldo continued to boost his own ego by saying he is more famous than Donald Trump. One is the President of the United States of America, the other is one of the best football players ever. It is quite hard to judge but it is a very bold claim. Piers Morgan didn't object either which Ronaldo looked quite smug about. It does prove though that football really does have a hold over all of us. And also Ronaldo does love himself, quite understandably.

Those are some of the biggest and most controversial talking points of the second part of the interview with Cristiano Ronaldo and Piers Morgan. As always, the memes are surfacing across X currently and both of them are under a bit of stick. PSG and Swedish legend, Zlatan Ibrahimovic also made a sly dig at Ronaldo's comments: "The difference between Messi and Ronaldo is that interviewers tell Messi he's the GOAT, while Ronaldo tells the interviewer that he's the GOAT."
The GOAT debate is one that feels like it will never end. In Ronaldo's eyes, the debate was over before he even kicked a football.
