Salford City have agreed a deal for Wycombe Wanderers forward Daniel Udoh, according to Pete O’Rourke.
The 29-year-old has already amassed one goal and one assist in six League One games for Wycombe so far this season. However, League Two may be his destination by the end of today, just one year after he joined the Chairboys on a free transfer.
The forward penned down a three-year contract with Wycombe upon the expiry of his contract at Shrewsbury Town last summer. Ultimately, he performed well in Buckinghamshire last season, scoring eight goals and grabbing three assists in the Chairboys’ promotion pushing campaign.

However, it has been reported that Salford have put in a £300k bid for the attacker, which would emerge as a nice bit of profit for Mike Dodds’ outfit.
The transfer is still a strange one nonetheless; Wycombe currently sit in the League One relegation zone after six winless matches in the third tier. It seems they need as many players as they can get, rather than selling them to League Two clubs.
Salford will have pulled off a fantastic signing should they get Udoh over the line. Prior to his respectable season with Wycombe last year, the Nigerian scored 31 goals in five League One seasons for Shrewsbury Town.
