Bristol City defender Zak Vyner is closing in on a move to Wrexham in the transfer window's final few days, according to Football Park sources.
Vyner, 28, has played the entirety of Bristol City's fixtures at the opening stages of the EFL Championship season, but is expected to become a Wrexham player before the transfer window closes on Monday, 1st of September.

The right-sided defender's move to North Wales would bring an end to a 21-year-long association with Bristol City, having been on the books as Ashton Gate since he was just 7 years old. He would become Wrexham's 11th signing of the summer window, with the Red Dragons aiming to mould a squad worthy of admission to the Premier League in the not-so-distant future.
Vyner has entered the final year of his contract with The Robins, and it is understood that he has rejected the offer of a new contract with the club. With these last few days of the transfer window being the final opportunity for his departure to generate funds for the club, Bristol City have agreed to a sale to Wrexham. The fee taking him to the club is expected to be around £2m.
The departure of Zak Vyner would be one that brings a curtain down on a relationship between a player and a club that has transcended over two decades.
It has been almost a decade since Vyner made his debut for Bristol City, which came in February 2016, with that game being one which preceded 210 league showings for the club as well as loans with the likes of Accrington Stanley, Plymouth Argyle, Rotherham United and Aberdeen.
Now, however, Vyner is due to the depart his boyhood club after 21 years of service, from the age of 7 all the way to 29.

With the Robins stalwart now being within the final year of his contract - one which he has rejected offers from the club to renew - Bristol City now view these final three days of the transfer window as their last opportunity to receive any funding from Vyner's departure, with the risk being ran of his departure via Bosman ruling in January, or the total expiration of his current deal at the end of the season.
Wrexham have agreed a deal with Bristol City, according to Football Park's sources, of around £2m for his services with additional add-ons expected to be a part of the deal - over double the amount offered by Derby County in July, which was rejected - and personal terms are not expected to be a stumbling block in negotiations.
The transfer window closes this coming Monday, 1st of September 2025 at 7pm BST - Zak Vyner is expected to be unveiled as a Wrexham player before then.
